Casa Sequoia is beautiful!
Reviewed by: Elizabeth D. recommends this property.

Beautiful home and garden! It was dusty but otherwise we really enjoyed it. The master bathroom was somewhat of a hazard though - it had a sunken bathtub that my mother tripped over in the middle of the night. She had severe bruising on her arm and leg. Best to put a plant/stand in the front right corner of the raised bathtub area to avoid tripping.

Great week in Santa Fe!
Jonathan W. from Hampden, ME recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014
We had a wonderful week at Casa Sequoia. Its location was ideal for a family group that included several young couples with varying interests. Hikes and mountain biking was nearby for the outdoor crowd, while wandering through galleries or the capital or downtown was similarly accessible. The house is amazing and lends itself to large groups who don't mind sharing spaces. While there are some nooks to get away, that is not the forte of this house. Rather, its communal areas are the strength. We cooked and also ordered out. And we were plenty close to restaurants to make that easy as well. One drawback would be to count on the foldout couch for a good night's sleep. It is pretty dismal. One couple ended up putting the mattress on the floor and being okay, but it is definitely rough. The rest of the sleeping spaces were fabulous. When we had the appearance of an unpleasant smell, the staff at the rental company were on it immediately and some very pleasant plumbers showed up to investigate and remedy. All in all - - a complete success for our family group of 8!

A fine authentic Santa Fe home
Paul F. from New Center, MA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014
This house did not feel like a rental, but was decorated with care, and was clearly someone's beloved residence. Everything that was needed was available, and it felt generous. It was not truly a walk into town, but it was an easy walk to Canyon Road. We made little use of the outside spaces (it rained daily), which were also a bit less well appointed.

Casa Sequoia is like going back in time with a cozy, authentic adobe home. Views of the mountains were fantastic and the living room and fireplace were very cozy - great place to hang out with friends and family.

Robin K. from New York, NY recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013
We loved the house, it's location and view. It was large and well appointed. I have one criticism. While it was clean, every thing needed sprucing up, it was a bit dingy. Things like bathmats, towels, rugs. A little overhaul would make this a dream house. That said, we had a great time!

Love the authenticity of the old adobe house. Really felt like we were in Santa Fe. Direction s to the house could have been clearer...took us a while to realize it was behind 2 other houses on a steep drive. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay!

Our 14th year traveling together and hands down one of the best homes we stayed at. Walked every night to Canyon street for dinner. Gorgeous views from the house. House is well equipped and offers Internet. Spacious living area. Master bedroom is huge. Great place for a girls retreat.

Relaxing with the heavenly vista
Susan H. from Oakville, Ontario recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013
Overall we were very happy with out accommodation. The house was well stocked, bright and cheery. Some of the assessments that we came up with were to more clearly specify the house as we had diificulties finding it in the dark. Also perhaps labeling the light switches, the shower in the tub leaked and the pull-out in the living room was very uncomfortable. These are just a few points that would have made our experience totally a 5:5 but we loved the location, view and charming house.PS put up a notice as to what time the sprinkler system goes off :) We did get wet one evening!

Santa Fe Adobe House
A guest from Chicago, IL recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013
We had an excellent time at this home! The pictures do not do it justice-it's a very charming adobe house in a perfect location for visiting Santa Fe. It's a little challenging to find (especially at night),so make sure you have clear directions. Also, one of the showers is part of a clawfoot tub, which might be challenging for some travellers. Otherwise, it's a great choice for a stay in the area.

Property managers were very accommodating -- brought a highchair before we arrived, dropped off extra keys, tried to fix a balky TV &, when that didn't work, bought a new one!

Sequoia-Family Gathering
A guest from Dallas, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012
The Sequoia property was lovely. There was plenty of room for our 22 family members to have a dinner party. Wonderful views. Rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms a little odd but worked well.Location was great. Management company was difficult to deal with. Our family of 10 had to be split between 2 properties due to his mix up. No compensation made. We also had to move in the middle of our 5 day vacation to accommodate his mix up. Had us cornered with full payment made prior to this mix up. Would not recommend using this company. Very unsettling.

Beautiful home. Traditional architecture with a lot of space and beautiful art. Location misleading -- it is not steps from Canyon Road, but could be walked if weather permits (not in summer heat). It would be a long walk to the Plaza. Home is well-appointed with good views.

We Found Magical old Santa Fe at Casa Sequoia
Jean S. from Austin, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 1 days in May, 2012
This home is like stepping back into time. It is a charming adobe cabin that has been added onto, as was the custom. It takes the word "rustic" into a whole new category, yet manages to provide all the modern amenities. The best part for me, by far, was the lot itself. Its high on a hill in the historic district, just steps from Canyon Rd., but with views toward the romantic Sun and Moon mountains. It actually has gardens and a yard with two wonderful outdoor seating area. The light is perfect for painting or just sipping coffee.I saw the photos but didn't quite believe it, until I saw it.The property management gentleman, Carlos, is kind and helpful. If I hadn't just purchased a house in SantaFe, I would book Casa Sequoia for the entire summer.

This beautiful home is the very soul of Santa Fe. I came to here to lead a retreat group and needed a home that was comfortable, warm, grounding - both cosy and spacious at the same time. CASA SEQUOIA was the perfect place for us! Its beautiful old architecture, warm soulful, well-loved interiors, magnificent mountain views and closeness to Canyon road were perfect. The large kitchen table, kiva fireplaces, and comfortable couches allowed for wonderful group activities. The beds are super comfortable too. The place is a gift we look forward to returning to visit!

Only one complaint
A guest from Denver, CO recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011
This place was awesome!!! Large enough for a family. The place was relatively clean, with one exception. It appeared that a cat stays at the house from time to time and the sheets had cat hair on them. We are both allergic, so that was a little annoying that we did not know this. Other than that, rest of house was clean and the stay was great - just bring your own sheets =)

We stayed at Casa Sequoia for 4 nights in May. The location was great, and the house was very comfortable. We appreciated the views, loved the livingroom kiva, and there was plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Great for a large group or small like ours (myself, my husband, mother and 3.5 year old daughter).

We loved the beautiful serenity of this spacious and elegant home. The kitchen and living rooms were so comfortable and inviting. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed! I thought that it was a little misleading in its location. We had expected it to be a bit closer to the plaza when walking. But the bus route was easy to navigate and we actually enjoyed walking to the museums on Museum Hill! It was a wonderful stay.

This house was absolutely beautiful! We had nine people and all slept very comfortably! The house was big, colorful, full of great decor and had great views. The only drawback is make sure that you have a GPS to find the street. If we did not have the GPS it would have been very difficult to find. The hill up was a little tricky with our conversion van. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay. Thanks so much!
