Casa Estrella, a lovingly-restored historic adobe in the heart of the Historic Eastside of Santa Fe, lies at the end of a private drive surrounded by other period adobe and Territorial homes. The finest galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road are only a five minute walk away. Stroll to the Plaza and the Governors Palace in fifteen minutes. Explore the four world class museums on Museum Hill within 1.3 miles. It is less than six miles to the Santa Fe Opera and minutes from the new Railyard arts and entertainment district.
This authentic Pueblo Revival casita has been totally redone over the past two years and has been furnished with new and antique furnishings and stainless steel appliances in a contemporary New Mexico style. There are double-adobe walls, 9-foot beamed ceilings, hand-troweled diamond plaster walls, skylights, wide-plank pine and white oak floors, and Saltillo tile throughout. French doors in the kitchen lead to an outdoor patio dining area and the gardens.
Warm yourself by the kiva fireplace in the living room on chilly Santa Fe nights. There is a completely equipped modern kitchen, and the dining table seats six. The two lovely bedrooms include a master suite with a California King bed, dressing area and bath plus a guest bedroom with a King bed and shower bath. The house has a full-size stacking washer-dryer in the utility area. There are 3 wall mounted refrigerated air conditioners mounted in the kitchen and each bedroom.
Casa Estrella is filled with signed Native American art and is surrounded by lovely garden areas on four sides. Relax to the sounds of a Stone Forest millstone fountain and discover Sanctuary, an original sculpture by renowned artist Bill Worrell in the garden. The landscaping is softly illuminated for truly enchanting Santa Fe evenings.
The gardens are perfect for outdoor entertaining or a romantic evening for two. There are three separate outdoor areas for dining, cocktails or just enjoying a rain shower or snowfall. A lounge area shaded by a large Russian olive tree has a cocktail table, seating for four and a chimenea. Enjoy your meals, cocktails and star gazing around the garden dining table for six. In season, savor fruit from apple, apricot, peach and plum trees in the gardens. The house and gardens are completely enclosed by adobe walls ad coyote fences. Aspen trees line the drive along the outer wall of the casita. This very popular property is perfect for one or two couples!Permit#:
Excellent, excellent, excellent! I brought my parents, who are in their 80's, for a long weekend in Santa Fe and loved Casa Estrella. An absolutely beautiful place.
Our Girl-Trip was wonderful. The Casita was fantastic - We give it an A++++. The beds were so comfortable and by the time we returned home each night, we were ready for them. You and Marilyn did a great job with decorating. It is beautiful - Thank you so much - We all would like to return. Hope to see you soon, Rose

Wonderful Place to Stay Fran M. from Washington, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2013 We were two couples meeting in Santa Fe for a few days and luckily chose the perfect VRBO. The casita was lovely and equipped with everything we needed and more. Attention had been given to detail in decorating and equipping the home. The garden area is ideal. Nice location for walking to both the plaza and other shopping/restaurants. |

Perfect place to stay for long weekend in Santa Fe. A guest from Amherst, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2013 The property was clean, quaint and perfectly located. We were able to enjoy hiking, galleries, and the plaza from this quiet spot. The property management staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. Highly recommend this house. Hope to stay there again! |

Lovely casita Julie W. from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 This casita was a wonderful retreat. We enjoyed the luxury amenities such as Netflix on demand, the Bose soundwave and the Keurig coffee maker, as well as the original artwork by local artists. It was a little bit of a walk to the main square (~10 minutes with a child) and the sidewalks can be a little rough & ready, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The master bedroom remained very warm at night, so turn the thermostat down early and take it as low as it would go, if you like it cooler. We loved the garden, and though it was cool during our Spring Break stay, we enjoyed the south-facing suntrap outside the back door. All in all, a great rental property with fabulous personal touches. |

Should be called Casa Estrellas--FIVE stars! Deborah K. from Sebastial, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 We always rent homes when we travel and, hands down, this one felt the most like a true guest experience. The art, appointments, cleanliness, and thoughtful details made for the perfect four-day stay in Santa Fe. That, with waking up to a gorgeous snowfall one morning, made it perfect. |

Santa Fe Gem Diane & Phil J. from Staffordshire, UK recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2012 Upon arrival at the property, it was obvious that the owners had considered the needs and requirements of the guests. It was outstanding in every way, spotlessly clean and equipment for everything. The furnishings were first class and the original New Mexican artwork was the finishing touch. Ideally placed for the Santa Fe Plaza. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. |

Beautiful Home Randi C. from Walnut Creek, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 Casa Estrella is a wonderful home in Santa Fe. Whether for 2 couples, 2 singles or a family this is a great home. It is very clean, with beautiful Southwest furnishings, a lovely backyard and a short 10-15 minutes walk to the plaza. We had a rental car but did not use it on the days we visited the plaza. Museum Hill is even a reasonable walk -- it would take about 20-25 minutes. If you like to cook the kitchen has everything you will need as well as a gas grill outside. My only suggestion is for Ed (the owner) is get the cooking knives sharpened or buy new ones, they were dull. We enjoyed having our breakfast outside at the table with an umbrella every morning. A very relaxing way to start the day. I will stay in Casa Estrella again. |

Wonderful retreat in Santa Fe!! A guest from Firestone, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 I brough my parents, who are in their 80's, for a long weekend in Santa Fe and LOVED Casa Estrella. My absolute only down-side was that my mom is only 5'3" tall and the beds are really high up. She has a bad leg and had trouble getting into the bed even though step stools are provided. Otherwise an absolutely beautiful place. Property Manager Response: Response from Kokopelli Property Management Hi Becky,Thank you for your review and we are so happy that you loved and enjoyed Casa Estrella. We will address the owner about placing a step stool along side of the beds. We look forward for your next visit to Santa Fe.Thank you,Kokopelli Team |

Top Notch Home in a Great Location Brenda F. from San Leandro, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 I have rented many properties in Santa Fe. This Santa Fe home is wonderful. The large beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is reasonably equipped (I'm a chef so I always want a kitchen like my own!), the living areas cozy, and the gardens are lovely. The place has all of the latest techno stuff and it is in a peaceful area located within walking distance of Canyon Road (many galleries). I definitely would stay here again, and will! Property Manager Response: Response from Kokopelli Property Management Hello,Thank you for your review and so happy that you had a great Santa Fe stay. We look forward to your next visit!Kokopelli Team |

Best Santa Fe Rental Yet Michael T. from Evanston, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2011 Pros: For us, this is close to the ideal Santa Fe Rental: competitive pricing, excellent location, "South West" décor without being "overwhelming", really exceptional seating areas and a really usable and well equipped kitchen.Cons: Second bedroom has only a hall bath, smallish living room with view of kitchen, parking can get a bit complicated on the weekly trash pickup night if you have multiple vehicles.Bottom line: We liked this rental so much that we booked it for an entire month in 2012 - for us as a couple who live full time in a small house with a similar floor plan this is an excellent compromise between price and amenities. This rental could also work well for a family that needs only one bedroom for children, for adults who each need a bedroom, someone is going to have to take the hall bath. |

Excellent Stay in a Cute, Well-Appointed Cottage A guest from Baltimore, recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 We were exceptionally pleased by how the house was decorated and furnished. We particularly liked the heated floor in the master bathroom. The location is also excellent, being well off the main street but only a 5 min walk to Canyon Rd. The only problem was the Kiva fireplace did not have a good draft and therefore created smoky conditions. |

Wonderful Garden... A guest from Shreveport, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2009 Very nice property with great outdoor space, sculpture and water feature. Only negatives that we found were that the internet connection is located in the second bedroom and one must sit on the bed or stand bedside to use. Also, while there are plenty of towels, there was only one washcloth provided in each bathroom. With those minor exceptions, the little house was nicely decorated, well equipped, and had a great location.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. |
