On summer nights, prepare dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and then go out to eat in the wall-enclosed private yard and garden with its outdoor fireplace. The air is so freshen and really enjoyed setting outside as well as inside of the courtyard doors opens open. We even enjoyed the blizzard the one night and the 50's or so the next day. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2013 Our recent trip to Santa Fe was incredible, and our stay at the Magdelena at the Plaza was perfect. The house is classically decorated and walking distance to the Plaza, which adds to the whole experience. Very comfortable! We loved the fireplaces and the outdoor patio. The property was clean and well supplied. (Only suggestion: get a converter to change the second bedroom into a king sized bed :) Would definitely recommend this property AND the Kokopelli Property Management. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2012 Our overall experience with Kokopelli was fantastic, Marcia spent a lot of time helping me pick the perfect house as we had grandchildren joining us in Santa Fe. It was perfect! The house was fabulous, my daughter loved the location and so did my husband who had a conference at the La Fonda. We walked everywhere and after the third day my daughter said, "Mom we have not used the car once! " The Park for the two kids was 2 blocks away, Museums, Plaza, Shops, Restaurants,were all within a few blocks away. We also were able to take advantage of all the conveniences at home and stay home to eat when we wanted to. We even entertained other friends from the conference one night and they loved getting away from the hotel and sharing a fire and wine with us in a comfortable living room. The washer and dryer were a bonus with kids and well used :)We had one problem not being able to get on the internet and when I called in to Kokopelli someone came out and replaced the router immediately. The one thing that could have been a little better maintained was the patio area. We were so busy we did not use it but it would be my only suggestion the house was spotless, and well maintained.. It was a perfectly fabulous experience at Magdelena and we would love to have the opportunity to stay there again. Not being an internet person my children were quite impressed that we found such a fabulous spot! All other rentals have had the key very accessible and we were able to leave the keys on the table when checking out. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 We wanted to be able to walk to dinner and many of the museums - we could certainly do this from Magdalena. We found the home quite comfortable and in reasonably good shape. The sole glitch was the wifi wasn't working properly - but within a few hours the "tech guy" was there -- he not only fixed the system but provided come good ideas about dinner places.We had multiple dead moths in the house -- seems to be an issue in this part of NM. It is right on the Paseo de Peralta, so we occasionally heard traffic noise, but the close-in location made up for it. The staff was very accommodating in putting the twin beds together to make a king bed for us and providing fans. Our only suggestions - put a couple of planted pots on the patio and include a recycle bin with the trash can. The house is in an excellent location and the outdoor patio provides a pleasant relaxing setting. The general condition of the home is average and the furnishings are worn, easpecially the dining area. The master bath whirlpool tub/shower is actually located in the master bedroom adjacent to the bed. The tub/shower is difficult to navigate for someone with limitied mobility or vision. An owner's welcome guide could not be located to provide instructions on how to access the wireless internet. The location of the property is the home's strongest feature.
