It would have been nice to have shades on the windows in the living room and kitchen. The light from the sun was blinding at times. The master bedroom got really hot around 3-4am even though the thermostat was set on 65. The location was great and we had a very pleasant experience. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2010 Overall, the place is nice and I would recommend it BUT, the person who answered the emergency number on Sunday was extremely rude when I explained that we could not get into the front door. She told me to turn the key harder and I told her the key would break if I did. She stated that I would then pay for it. I told her I needed to get in and she told me to either climb the 8-foot fence leading to the back patio area and check the back sliders (which were locked) or that she would send someone out the next day to take a look. That was worthless. Once we were able to jiggle the key and press hard to the opposite side that should have opened it, we got in. Once inside, the wireless was encryped and I had to attach to the modem to use the internet for my job. Two of the showers had no shower curtains and taking a shower without putting down about 4 towels would have flooded the place. The remote to the TV in the master bedroom didn't work and there were no shutters or curtains in the family room to cover the wall to wall windows. Granted it was on top of a hill so privacy was not a big issue but when you are utilizing the sofa-bed and the sun is glaring through in the morning you can't sleep nor can you eat breakfast at the dining table without dark sunglasses. The dishwasher did not wash and left soap on the dishes. Finally, much of the square footage was wasted space. Having stated that, the place was roomy and nice and for the price, was worth it. The washing machine and dryer were dynamos and the beds were comfortable. Also, the house was furnished with all appliances and ample dishes and flatware.
