Stayed for 32 days in October, 2012 I just spent one month (mid Oct-mid Nov 2012) at El Matador #42 and found it to be an excellent base from which to get to know Santa Fe and decide if I want to settle in the city permanently. The property was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It had all the cooking utensils I needed, the washer/dryer was handy and the home had two flatscreen TVs! The internet connection was strong. An additional plus is that it is located across the street from the Ft. Marcy recreation center. It has a great walking track and exercise equipment/weight room and heated pool. I joined for the month, though the facilities are available for day use too. If you're a couple or single looking for a quiet, safe, comfortable base from which you can walk to all the historical downtown sights, El Matador is a great choice. Santa Fe is is not that large and getting to Trader Joe's was only a 10 minute drive. I found Kokopelli staff to be most helpful and friendly.
