Position: Sancoins is only five miles away for shops and a supermarket. Vereaux has summer music festivals and the Berry region is rich is Romanesque architecture and the excellent wines of Sancerre. Surrounded by 50 acres of park land, the cottage is self-contained with a private south facing garden with garden furniture, parasol and barbecue. Shared tennis court and basketball pitch. Bikes for hire with helmets and maps. Swimming pool (10x5m) shared with Le Manoir and occasionally with the owners. Fishing pond 300 yards away and bird watching within the grounds.

Accommodation: The cottage has retained all original features, with original exposed oak beams throughout. Large well equipped kitchen with a large and small cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, toaster, washing machine and large breakfast table. Pleasantly decorated living room with dining area and a comfortable lounge area with TV/DVD. The three bedrooms, (a double, a twin and a children's room with three single beds) share a bathroom, separate shower and a separate wc. Electricity payable locally. Bed linen and one large towel per person included.

Resort: The village of Sancoins is located in the Cher Department (county) and is surrounded by the three provinces of Berry, Bourbonnais and Nivernais. The village is the birthplace of numerous writers, such as Oscar MTtTnier, the founder of the "ThTGtre du Grand Guignol" theatre. Worth visiting: Grossouvre castle and the small medieval town of Sagonne including castle. Highly recommended: kart racing, maiden voyage on the famous motorsport race track which was home to the 2008 French Formula 1 Grand Prix. Medieval village with 3'600 inhabitants, 9 km from Mornay sur Allier, 51 km from Bourges, 26 km from Magny-Cours. In the resort: supermarket, shops. For arrivals by plane: airport Tours (TUF) 213 km.
