WSC booked out air travel from the International airport and had a taxi pick us up and take us to a grocery store. Great restaurant and bar on site. Walking distance to other places to eat. Dive site at the resort was easy to book a days adventure. If we wanted to go to town Marlon would book a water taxi for us. Would not hesitate to go back. Only drawback I can think of is to far to walk to a grocery store. You would have to have a golf cart or take a complimentary bike. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 On our arrival Marlin met us at the driveway, took our bags to our room and even unpacked and refrigerated our food items. Then he came out and served us a delicious rum punch. A very nice welcome. Why would we recommend the White Sands? Marlin, the housecleaner, groundskeepers and the dive shop employees make this a great place. The unit we stayed in was spotless as well as the pool and surrounding area of the property. The office has a great library collection which was a plus. For 2 people the unit is fine, but if you want to visit inside with more, then there really isn't comfortable seating or space in the unit. Hopefully the futon in the livingroom/eating area gets replaced. A quick walk away to the Aji restaurant for a meal is highly recommended! White Sands Cove vacation Feb 26-March 9, 2011 Greg F. from Princeton, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in February, 2011 Our ten day stay at the White Sands Cove resort was top rated. It began with the driver picking us up at the San Pedro airport almost immediately after landing. The driver assisted us in renting a golf cart, then drove us to the local grocery store to purchase our supplies. We were then transported to the White Sands resort where Marlon immediately welcomed us and supplied our group with a complimentary rum punch. Marlon then transported our luggage and supplies to our condo and even placed our cold supplies in our fridge. Within an hour, the remainder of our group of sixteen arrived and were also welcomed. Throughout our 10 day stay, Marlon and the staff ensured that all of our needs were taken care of. Our condo was very tastefully decorated, and was stalked with all of the kitchen utensils required, even a blender. Housekeeping services were conducted daily, and the ladies were very trustworthy. The gardens and pool area were immaculately groomed.Bicycles, kayaks and snorkeling equipment were provided for guest use as well.I would highly recommend this resort. It is very quaint, and situated on the north side of the island, which is less congested than the resorts in the town centre.We have only been home for two days, and already miss San Pedro. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2011 We loved our stay at White Sands, the facility was so clean and it was very evident that the entire staff takes great pride in the condition of the grounds, rooms and overall facility. Marlon was very responsive to our needs and a great resource in regard to excursions, restaurants and San Pedro in general. We found very quickly that if we needed anything at all just to ask. Doris, the bar tender and server was so helpful and so much fun to get to know. It seemed that everyone was there to assist and enhance our vacation experience. The excursions lined up through Marlon were excellent as well and I would recommend using Marlon for setting up snorkeling or mainland tours--we found the companies he used to be safe, reputable and the guides to be very personable. The only negatives would be that there isn't a swimmable beach (which I think would matter more if you brought children) and the proximity to town. We ate dinner or lunch in town each day, so a golf cart was a must. However, to me the cleanliness and beauty of the location outweighed the slight inconvenience of having to rent the golf cart. If we return to Belize in the future, we would definitely stay at The White Sands again.
