Resort: San Benedetto del Tronto, on the Adriatic coast between Ancona and Pescara (easily reached by motorway, or by rail and plane), is not a typical Adriatic bathing resort but a "Riviera of Palm Trees". The luxuriant, exotic vegetation and the abundant palm trees give the countryside a tropical air.
