Resort: Small, picturesque village with 3'716 inhabitants, 43 km south from Rochefort, 43 km west from Saintes. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Attractions. Access: railway station "Royan". Bus service. St Palais sur Mer 4 km. Pontaillac 3 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Bordeaux-MTrignac (BOD) 135 km, La Rochelle (LRH) 80 km. Attractive village with seasonal markets selling agricultural and sea produce.

Resort in Summer: Sandy beach. Sailing, sailing school, canoeing. Tennis, golf course in Maine Gaudin 15 km. Riding in Maine Gaudin 15 km. Walking path. Bicycles paths, mountain bike tracks, bicycles and mountain bikes for hire. Nauzan has the largest sandy beach, kids' club available. Worth a visit: the famous "Chemin des Douaniers" between the sea and oaks opposite the lighthouse at Cordouan.
