Resort: Picturesque village directly by the sea, 77 km north-west from Galway. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway N59 Galway - Clifden. Then road 341. For arrivals by plane: airport Galway (GWY) 77 km, Shannon (SNN) 167 km. The village is set on one of the most spectacular coastal drives in Europe overlooking the Atlantic at the foot of Errisbeg Mountain, with many points of historical, geological and scenic interest. It has a traditional craft centre and local activities include pottery, jewellery and instrument making. The town boasts a good selection of Bars and Seafood Restaurants. Amongst the local events, the Yearly Pony Show and the Roundstone Regatta, both taking place in July.
