The first floor of this villa has a wonderful open livingroom that flows out to a fabulous pool area through large sliding glass doors. The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, and granite countertops. It is here the chef will create many meals for you to enjoy in the formal dining room. Also on the first floor, you will find a bedroom overlooking the courtyard garden area. On the second floor, there are 3 master suites with private balconies. Two of the master suites overlook the pool and greenery of the golf course, the other overlooks the courtyard garden. All of the bedrooms in the main house have king beds with en suite bathrooms. The poolside terrace is an excellent place to relax with the family while the kids frolic in the shallow end of the fabulous swimming pool. The pool is equipped with bar stools and an adjoining Jacuzzi where you can relax your muscles after that last round of golf. The Puerto Aventuras Golf Course that passes behind the pool area is only a 3 minutes walk away. From the roof deck, you have a 360 degree view of the golf course, the surrounding jungle and a partial view of the ocean. Included in the rental of this fabulous villa is a guest membership card to the Omni Hotel which allows access to use the Omni beachside lounge chairs, pool, gym and towel service. The card also carries a 20% discount on all food and beverages served at the hotel beach or in the beach bar and restaurant. The beach at the Omni Hotel is just a few minutes down the street and provides the perfect snorkeling venue inside the protected reef. GREAT PROPERTY BUT MANAGEMENT ACCESS ISSUES Richard & Barbara H. from Fort Collins, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 The property was clean, the chef, maid, yard people did a great job. The property itself was in great condition and beautiful. And the provided access to the Omni Beach resort was great!But the WiFi never worked (owner's reps didn't know the password), the phone was not generally useable (perhaps because of poor instructions on its use), several switches didn't work, coffee pot needed replacing and was too small for the number of guests, golf cart in poor condition (front light out, batteries too dry to hold charge). Management representatives (3)dropped by on their own schedules and I had to wait for their visits to get stuff fixed. First day we were spooked by various staff walking in on us without knocking. Did they belong there?? The biggest issue was that the owner's reps were not same folks as the rental agency, and absent an address of the owner (and the phone didn't work), we were stuck with no one to turn to for at least 4 days.I would still recommend the property, but renters should insist on an address and name of a specific management representative (24 hours per day). Instructions left by the owner should tell how to use the WiFi including password and how to use phones, which are evidently tied to the WiFi. R. E. Thirteen people went along with me Puerto Aventuras to celebrate his 60th Birthday party. I can not say enough good things about Gran Orquidea and Akumal Villas! Akumal Villas made the entire trip hassle free from handling the car rental to making sure all of our grocery specifications were met. The house was GORGEOUS and the staff, Wayner, Isabella and Sylvia and Ceso sp? were amazing! We have been back two weeks and we are still talking about how well they took care of us!
