Lovely comfortable family home near back yard with jacuzzi.

This Princeville Vacation Home has space for relaxing, gathering together with family and friends, and enough room for children and adults to each have separate spaces. Hale Ohana sleeps six to ten guests.Two large living areas, one upstairs, with a large great room consisting of a dining space to accommodate eight, large scenic kitchen, comfortable seating around a huge TV. The large upstairs lanai has distant ocean views, Bali Hai sunsets, mountain, waterfall and rainbow views. Downstairs, enter another comfortable living area with a TV and views onto a tropical atrium. Down here, find three large bedrooms with tropical views and a TV and high speed internet in each room. The master bedroom has a romantic dual head shower. Step out onto another lanai and take the garden path to the large Jacuzzi. Walk to queens bath .There are porta cribs and lots of baby gear including a stroller and beach toys. There are bikes, snorkel sets, beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach mats, and boogie boards. Loved It!!! Sarah B. from Costa Mesa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2013 The house was perfect for our family of 8. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed to make our visit a success. The jacuzzi never worked while we were there, but that did not impact us very much (they were waiting for parts). The walk to the beach was a little farther than 8 minutes and could not be done by someone who is not in good physical shape as it is a steep downhill/uphill climb. Again, this did not impact our trip in a negative way as we chose just to drive the family to the beach. Overall, the house is lovely, well maintained, and made our stay in Kauai a very enjoyable experience!!! Some things good, some things bad.... A guest from North Barrington, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2013 The property is well maintained in general. However the bed in the master bedroom has a very lumpy mattress and the bed creaks. One of the sinks in the master bath needs to be able to drain.The property no longer has any view of the ocean. It is certainly not a 10 minute walk to any beach. It also needs to be aired out between rentals as it was very musty when we arrived. It only took about an hour to air, but when arriving late in the evening that was not something that we wanted to deal with at that point. It is near Foodland, which was a real plus , is very safe, and has a quiet location. I'll probably choose a different spot next time (no golf courses for me!). The house was very clean and well kept. We could walk to a nice little beach. Ants are unfortunately an occupational hazard of island that doesn't mean we welcome them inside! Great stay, except A guest from Santa Cruz, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2011 We enjoyed our stay but, some improvement are needed. We were unable to turn off the jets on the hot tub. We called for assistance,someone came out and helped us get the jets turned off. He said he would have a spa maintenance person attend to the problem. We never saw anyone to correct the problem. A spa service person came by, I guess, doing his regular route and noted the problem.The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced.In the check-in/out instructions, please add a note about recycling procedures. Happy to see you have a new gas grill, it worked fantastic. Also happy to have all the beach chairs available in the garage. The only improvements I think it needs are: new pillows, the current ones are lumpy and stained, fresh coat of paint on the light colored walls upstairs, thorough cleaning of doors (both sides) and the bathroom towels need to be replaced because they are stained by teenagers using benzoyl peroxide on their pimples and rubbing it off onto the towels.We will come back again next year! The Linai and view were just beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked minus a coffee maker, which we love coffee so was a bit of a pain for us to have to go down every morning and buy it, but the local shops probably loved the business! The location was great would love to have directions to queens bath would never have found it if not for our guide book. Loved the yard the kitchen, duel head shower in master, laundry room was great, very comfortable for 6 to 10 people. Home was beautiful. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 Problems: intense mold odor on ground floor (where all the bedrooms are). The owners need to remove all the carpets as the smell is deeply embedded in it. There was mold on everything (lamps/art work/refrigerator/furniture/etc) They need to invest in some major spring cleaning. No a/c & the ceiling fans do not provide enough circulation to cool bedrooms. My 1 yr old developed a 102f temperature in the middle of the night because the bedrooms were so hot even with the ceiling fan, floor fan & windows open. The master bed was saggy and impossible to find a comfortable part. Our bed had a heavy winter comforter & wool blankets on it; did I mention we stayed there in July? I found lighter weight sheets in the closet but guess what, they were moldy as were the baby sheets for the pack n play cot they provided & we spent the first night washing the sheets, while the baby was tired and needed to sleep. The pillows were flat as pancakes. The hot tub was in "lock" mode so the water was cold and we could not warm it. Someone knocked on the front door at 9:30pm & ran when we walked down the stairs to open the door & the get away car was parked out front honking to the would be thief. After that I felt very unsafe & scared to sleep with the windows or sliding doors open for some fresh air & relief from the mold odor. It was a horrible experience & I wish we had stayed in a gated community with a view better then that of suburbia. Don?t let the advertised photo fool you. That beach is not in walking distance if you have little kids or wish to take any beach gear with you. If you wish to drive there are only ~ 10 parking spaces available for the general public (which will be you if you stay at this house). Good luck getting one of those spots.
