Perfect location of the Condo right next to the pool so that we could watch our kids while they were in the pool. The condo was perfect for us with all necessary amenities. It was cosy and satisfactorily cleaned in a quiet neighborhood (except for the b.... roosters). Only downside was malfunctioning internet that was not properly fixed - unfortunately a must these days so the property mamagement gets 3 stars only. Great view but poor accommodations A guest from Lexington, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 The company we went though was very good. The condo however was not. On a positive side the view was great. We were next to the pool and could hear/see the ocean. Negative side the bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept in. The appliances are old. The dishwasher has to be kept locked or the door will slam open on you. The dryer did not get very hot and does not turn off when you open the door making clothing fly all over. We had ants so we called the maintenance number to get bug spray that never came. The small appliances were old and did not work like the blender and DVD player. All the kitchen stuff is there, it just needs groceries. The town of Princeville is beautiful and no where else on the island can you look out your window and see amazing waterfalls. Stayed for 64 days in December, 2011 Given that our purpose was to have a quiet retreat space for my wife to write, being awakened daily by the pool cleaning out the bedroom window at 6:30am, a half hour before sunrise, was very annoying and unnecessary. We complained to SLII staff, but they said they could do nothing because the pool was cleaned by SL I staff. There were days when guests used the pool before 7am and after 7pm which was also very noisy right outside the unit windows. Then the maintenance crew for SL I were running one or another very noisy machines for at least half of the day. Some days the noise never stopped from before sunrise until the SLI crew left in the afternoon. We had to close windows just to hear ourselves think. Then it got hot and stuffy. We will never rent F units again. And the furniture was generally uncomfortable if you sat for more than 30 minutes in any location. Close to Hanelei bay. I have taken some work with me while I was on vacation. Unfortunately I coudn't do much because this location has no internet, which I was told that the sealodge requires all the renters. Overall not a bad place to stay. Sealodge F8 Gregory S. from Atascadero, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in July, 2011 I stayed here with my girlfriend only but there is plenty of space for another couple. There is a bedroom upstairs with two beds and another full bathroom. The price was great for just us but would have been a steal if split between two couples. Sometimes it gets a tad hot without air conditioning but eventually cools down at night. The view is blocked a little by some of the other condos so if you want a big panoramic view of the coastline you need to stay in one of the other sealodge apts. The one right next to us looked liked it may have had a better view but after a while you seen the ocean so much the view just becomes the background. The Sealoge is great. A guest from Grass Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2011 Great location. Would love to be closer up to the bluff next time. Would definitely come back, will come back. Would like to recommend that a better bed be purchased in master. That was a disappointment. The kitchen is small, but manageable. Would recommend some chef knives. We cook a lot and the one large knife did not do well. Also, I think a larger, better cutting board would be good. Overall, very nice, perfect location for the units. Truly a lovely stay. F8 had a great view and the kitchen was stocked. Liked the full size washer and dryer and dishwasher. New fluffy pillows would be great. We loved the games and books and towels. We bought a couple boogie boards but left them in G8. There is not much you could improve besides the pillows. We would love to come back and call F8 home again. Cathy was more then helpful and the location was the best. Gave us a chance to hit all the beaches. The condo was in great shape. Ps. Although building F does have the advertised ocean views, having seen the place, I would try to get a condo in one of the other buildings next time--they are closer to the ocean and have views of the Kilauea lighthouse. The position of the master bedroom essentially right above the pool takes away some privacy (the pool guy shows up at 6 AM each day even if the pool isn't opened until 7); we ended up pushing the two twin beds on the second floor together to sleep there, which afforded more privacy and better views. That aside, the place is very comfortable and well appointed, and we have no complaints. Next time we would prefer to stay in a unit that had been updated more recently. We complained about a hornets nest on the deck to both the cleaning lady and the on-site manager. Nothing was done about it. The unit was comfortable but a bit shabby. The paint throughtout the unit was dinged up and dirty. The toaster was broken but the toaster oven worked fine. It was great to have a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit. A few more fans would be helpful too. We were unable to fully use the deck since the hornet nest was right above the table. The deck furniture needs to be updated also. SeaLodge has a fantastic view of the coastline and that was wonderful. It was also nice to have use of a cooler and beach chair, along with beach towels to take to the beach. Overall, this unit was very comfortable. It just needs a bit of paint and updating of the furniture to make it a top notch unit to stay in. Disappointment at Sealodge A guest from Missoula, MT does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2010 The Sealodge was extremely disappointing. The unit was so extremely dated and need general manitenance updates. We stayed at a beautiful home the first week of our stay in Poipu and our arrival at the Sealodge was a shock. We did not stay at the property but rather booked a different condo in the area within minutes of our arrival. The landscaping on the property was nice however the pool area was also disappointing. There are too many great options for housing in the area and on the island. We would not recommend the Sealodge to anyone.
