The open living/ kitchen area of this home is perfect for a weekend stay or a week or longer. There is a full futon bed along with a twin sleeping chair for extra sleeping room. The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the full bath is spacious. This home is secluded and within walking distance to the beach and the Arnold Palmer Golf Course. The home is located on the Historic King Ranch Property and has a Gulf view, over the dunes. An outside shower is provided to rinse off after those long days at the beach. Cozy, pet-friendly beach-side cottage A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2013 We booked this last minute for a holiday weekend getaway with our two medium-sized dogs. The cottage was cute but quaint. The outside deck is not nearly as nice as it looked in the photos, and could use a fresh coat of paint. We appreciated that it was clean upon our arrival and stocked with the basic amenities such as good quality sheets and towels. However, we were disappointed that the grill was basically unusable, as it was rusted out, and that the cookware in the kitchen was extremely worn and also essentially unusable, too. We had planned to cook most meals at the cottage but ended up eating out nearly the entire time. The refrigerator was clean but utensils, pots and pans could all use a serious upgrade. There was a working coffee maker, thankfully, but no filters, paper towels, kitchen sponges, etc. There is no dishwasher, either, although as it turned out we didn't need one. We also had to purchase batteries for the TV and DVD remote to get them to work. You also need to bring your own beach towels and I'd suggest you bring a blanket for the futon couch if you're bringing dogs along. A huge plus is that the property allows pets and that it's very quiet, relatively secluded, and close to the beach. It's just the right size for a couple, too, unlike a lot of the large properties. For the price per night, I'd give it just 2 or 3 stars; with a few minor updates, this could be a much better overall experience. Weekend with Daughters... Karen W. from San Antonio, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 Had a wonderful time. It was nice to get away. It was close enough to the beach for us and was very quiet. Rent a golf cart and the commute is a breeze - lots of fun too! Only downside was that the TV remotes did not work - stuck with 1 channel all weekend but we did not watch much TV. Brenda did discount the propery for my wife and I. The upkeep could have been better, Example: radio would only play music at highest volume level, TV and or satalite were inoperable. I feel if something is in place to be utilized it should be in working order. Living room fan with light was not working at this time as well. My wife and I can adapt to pretty much anything while on vaction so the cabin was more of a delight to get away for the weekend. Port A getaway Mike B. from Sterling City, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 Me and my wife and two Labs stayed at BAMI2. We arrived after five and the keys were waiting for us. Upon arrival we found a clean tastefully furnished 1 BR beachhouse just a short walk to the water. We used the Webber for some outdoor grilling and enjoyed a few beverages watching the sunset from the porch. There was a decent little Golf Course just across the street and the Sunday Brunch at the 361 at Port Royal was awesome and was less than a mile from the beach house. Overall it was a relaxing getaway for my wife and I and a fun-filled beach experience for the dogs.
