We loved our view over the grounds toward the ocean. The pool was a pleasant place to relax. The trade winds were not blowing the first couple of days so we appreciated the air conditioning in the bedrooms. A great vacation! Jekyll and Hyde view from a spectacular condo Cory B. from Martinez, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2012 Condo 27 at Poipu Kapili is a incredibly well appointed unit with beautiful furnishings, wonderful kitchen and amazing amenities including a huge soaking tub with ocean view, steam shower and tech perks such as high speed wireless connectivity and personal computer. However, there is a downside. If you have the master bedroom, you have a view of the Pacific and the perfectly groomed grounds of Poipu Kapili with a lanai view to match. If you draw the second bedroom and lanai, you have a view of a rather depressing construction site. This is by no means saying to pass on unit 27 as it is a great condo but I want folks to be aware as there could be hard feelings between traveling companions as the view difference is that stark. I realize that the owners have no control over this until the resort building is complete but it is an issue. That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
