Stayed for 8 days in May, 2013 We celebrated our 20th anniversary with 9 days in Kauai and our stay at Poipu Shores in 105C was lovely. The unit itself is clean, well appointed and stocked with everything you'll need from beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers to a kitchen with anything you need. The unit is comfortable and was quiet while we were there. We enjoyed watching the turtles in the surf from the lanai and even caught a pod of dolphins hanging out in the cove one day. My husband was thrilled to find binoculars in one of the drawers to see everything better! The location is excellent - walking distance to Brenneke and Poipu beaches. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2012 As a seasoned, world traveler, I was amazed with the condition and attention to details in this great rental property. This is not your typical ?cheap but clean? rental condo?this is an owners? home, and one whose owner clearly takes pride in and is willing to share its amenities with others. Little details like providing access to beach equipment (boogie boards/snorkel/chairs/towels/coolers etc) allow you to instantly settle in, feel like home, and start enjoying your vacation as soon as you walk in the door. It is FULLY stocked (I even found a garlic press!) with everything we needed?no skimping on the little things here. It was a GREAT location, with unbeatable views. We watched dolphins and turtles swim by every day?right from the lanai! The only downside is that I suspect some of the neighboring units are not as well done. The clientele of neighboring units were not always respectful (e.g. smoking on their lanai, where it blew into ours, using our lanai frontage as a pathway, etc). Even being unlucky with the next door rental neighbors couldn?t tarnish our experience. This was truly a well done unit, in a GREAT location, with unbeatable views. The outdoor community grill is 20 feet from the front door so very convenient, and not once did I run into anyone else using it. 5 minute walk to Brennecke's. No A/C which made the heat difficult to deal with but we heard A/C isn't very common in Kauai? There are lots of fans to help.
