Bring your own equipment, or rent some at one of several local outfitters. There?s also a small stream if you want to try your hand at catching some mountain trout or just cool your tootsies during the warm afternoons. The New River State Park is just a ten-minute drive, and from there you?ll have access to a range of river-based activities and educational information about this geological wonder.

A pleasant trip A guest from Raleigh, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 We enjoyed the cabin. Had some difficulty with the firewood but bought a starter and got it going. We also would have liked some channels for kids. That section was very limited. Beautiful views and very comfortable place to say Misty H. from Salisbury, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 My only complaint is the checkin time of 4pm. I think that is a little late especially being charged the same price as a full day. Most people leave early in am to go on vacation and since we r only 2 hrs away we got there pretty early. It worked out since we kayaked until check in time but it wld have been nice to at least be able to turn the window unit ac on. Once we checked in it didn't get cool in the house until the next morning. other than that it was wonderful -i will definitely stay there again.
