Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 The cabin was very simple and nothing special.Some of the linen was dirty. The cabin was bare bones. It said that it sleeps 8.There are 3. Rooms and 1 sofa bed, so if you put 2 in every bed including the sofa bed in the living room you can. The pots were charred and couldn't cook with them, and there were only a few. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 This cabin appeared lovely in the photos online, but when we got there, it was lacking quite a bit of detail. It was advertised to us as a "Handicap Accessible" Property. However, when we arrived, it did not have a handicap accessible tub on the 1st floor. We also noted the following: Insufficient outdoor lightingFireplace not workingNo light in the fridgeBroken door seals (very drafty)Blinds broken in several roomsUpstairs shower stall extremely smallNot clean - cobwebs all around windows & fans - carpet on stairs dirtyTV too small in Living RoomFirewood was all soaked (not in a dry location)Tree down at edge of drivewayMaster BR Jakuzzi Jets were nastyBroken chair at game table (which they claim they knew about, but left the broken chair and parts there) Windows dirty and smudgyBeds were uncomfortableWood stain droplets on the floor that resembled dog urine. The biggest problem for us was the fact that it lacked the handicap accessiblity we expected, resulting on one of our guests not being able to property bathe for the duration of the stay. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 The owner of this cabin needs to do some serious updates and general repairs. I don't think the place has been touched since it was built in the 80's! The washer and dryer are antiques, the fridge is old and does not have any rails on the doors (not to mention froze our food), the upstairs shower does not even have the correct shower curtain on it which makes it VERY difficult to even use! I had to take down the curtains myself in one bedroom and wash them because they were so dusty! The hot tub cabinet was so unkept, rotting and is falling apart.The cabin needs to be sprayed as we found several scorpions inside while we were there. I have rented from American Mountain Rentals before and was always very satisfied. I am shocked they would allow this cabin to be rented in its current condition. Beautiful Cabin, yet VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! Debra H. from Andalusia, AL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2011 The cabin itself was beautiful; however I specifically ask for a cabin they did not sit on a steep hill. I could not even drive up this hill. My brother had to come to the bottom and drvie my car up everytime we left. The beds or mattresses were horrible and my dad was cut twice on the coils on the couch that lets out to a sofa bed. They were working on the road constantly and you could not get by for the workers. I would never recommend this property. We have been coming to the mountians every year since i was a child and this cabin was so disappointing. The outside could use some cleaning of spiderwebs everywhere, windows a little dirty. Small things like drain plug in upstairs jacuzzi tub doesnt fit properly and the water slowly leaks out,sofa sleeper extremely small and uncomfortable, couldn't be used. Luckily we had enough bed space without it.Cabin has 2 great, big jacuzzi tubs but only 1 shower upstairs, large laundry room and utility closet downstairs, some of that space could have been used for another shower? Handicap accessible? Yes a motorized wheelchair can get inside and go anywhere downstairs,which is hard to find in a nice cabin in this area. But again, no shower downstairs, only a deep tub. All in all, we enjoyed the cabin, lots of room for a family to sit around table, beds were comfortable, location was perfect, property management people great. The third bedroom had a bed and nightstand and nothing else. Had to pull a chair in the room to hold my luggage. The shower (only one in a condo made for 8) was so small you could not ever turn around in it. The pots under the stove had mouse droppings in them. We washed everything before we used it. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2008 You should have been paying us to stay in this Chalet and not us paying you a very large amount of money. My family and I looked forward to getting away, and staying at a very nice place, , but was very, very disappointed. You need to check these homes ever so often. This placed was covered with cobwebs and bugs.I don't think it was cleaned before we got there. The hot tub was dirty and when I called about it, they had the nerve to ask if it was like that when we got there. Also was told, we might want to get some laundry soap, since we had a washer and dryer, so we could do our own towel. That they were really busy and we might not be able to get fresh ones when when we brought down the dirty towels. That is one of the things we were to have. Fresh linens daily. We have rented other Chalets in the past few years and have never, ever had a problem. I could go on for hours about this place.Wet carpets, broken t.v. bugs, wasps, dirty hot tubs.vaccum clener had no bag in it, but 3inches of dirt. it wasn't a bagless, either.
