Everything was clean and comfortable. We felt right at home. We had originally booked another mountain cabin, but found that the roads and driveway were definitely NOT motorcycle trailer friendly! We called the main office in Pigeon Forge and spoke to Robin. She was very kind and extremely helpful in re-locating us to another place to stay! Will use American Mountain Rentals again and will recommend to friends. Definitely want to visit Bear Paw Chalet again! Beautiful home away from home. Thanks for helping us re-locate! They gave us the option of going to check out bear paw chalet to see if we would be OK staying there. We were surprise by the location, in town but didn't feel so. Your Staff were great starting with the first phone call to your office the first time we rented. Bear Paw Chalet was very clean and beautifully decorated. We felt at home. Would recommend your company to anyone--we have allready -- four or five couples. My family, Son, wife and 3 kids loved it as well as my Brother and his wife(stayed with us the last 2 times) from Delaware. Would help if nightly rates were a little lower. The reservation I made compared to the online description was all falsified! Our New Van stalled on us three times trying to reach our first cabin then to be shuffled to three more that were not clean and when I offered to clean them I was told NO you can't do it for health dept reasons and you don't get any money off nor do you get to stay there since it was not clean and if you want to go there tmrw you will have to pay more money for cleaning the cabin you are at. This was a family vacation with young kids and we had nothing but site seeing to do with them as we were promised a pool and pool table in the cabin. Our first cabin was not only a pain to get to but it was nasty. bedding was torn the deck falling off the side of the cabin cause it was not anchored properly, the tile flooring was all cracked and mold in the shower and the bathtub. The stairway going down was not sturdy enough for my hubby to walk down we had to go outside to get into the game room. Then was sent to Bear paw and it was wonderful but not the cabin in the woods we paid for not to mention the other ammenities we wanted and paid for. very disappointing. There's a nice paved walkway along the river, and it's at the back of a subdivision, so it's quiet. It's also close all the activity. My parents and I stayed there over the Memorial Day weekend, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch and playing games, eating, and using the hot tub.My only complaint is that the closets in both bedrooms were locked, and we were unable to hang up any clothes.
