The only issue we had was a very wet floor in the kitchen the morning we were leaving. Evidently the water had come from the dishwasher - we did not use it but did the few dishes we used by hand. I did call the office and notified them. I also tried to call maintenance and got no answer but did leave a message. Because some of the hardwood in the kitchen was slightly buckled and there was some dark areas around the dishwasher we felt this may have happened before. I am unusually particular about the cleanliness and quality/selection of decor and furnishings. Too often pictures are deceiving of what you end up with. The home Rippling Waters was as near to perfect as we could have desired. Although we were very busy on our vacation it was such a treat to come back to a clean, well decorated home that was very comfortable. The owner has selected just the right amount of furnishings to maintain both comfort and a sense of organization. On the way home we discovered that this was the first time our friends had ventured on a trip with another couple and they too gave great reviews of Rippling waters and the Pigeon Forge attractions. We enjoyed all of the shows and the "Pancakes" were great. (lots of pancake houses in the area). We did not go to Dollywood because we were under the impression it was more of a childrens attraction. We have since been told that there are lots of shows and that we missed a wonderful attraction. Guess that means we will have to pay the area another visit and fit that one in. Darn. LOL. My past experiences have been excellent, this last stay, not so good. The headboard in both bedrooms very dusty. one room had a Tim R. from Oak Hill, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2008 We had to wash these in ordr to have adequate toewls. The water hose in the garage was locked. (We bring antique cars and do rinse them off daily. I was told by the office they couldn't control this, but was done by the owner and apparently was concerned about water usage. My opinion is don't rent your cabin then, we are paying a premium price and expect to use ALL amenties with the house. The bathtub in the master bedroom had a black fungus under the water jets in thetub.I am very dissatisified with all these items, our experiences prior to this were all so very good. If I do stay with AMR again I will request to absolutely not stay in Rippling Waters as not to inconvenience the property owner and their concern of water usage.
