We highly recommend going to the Mountain Peddler for any gifts. He can also give you excellent local restaurant recommendations and alternate routes to get to Cades Cove Loop and other area attractions. We'll definitely be coming back!

The cabin was not very clean and the dishwasher was falling apart, the hairdryer was broken and the furniture was very abused. The bed did not contain a mattress pad however when I went to get clean sheets the property management company did give me one for our last night. Very disappointed for the money we paid!

Ready to go again!!! Cloud Nine was a fabulous property. Very thankful to find a very clean pet friendly place! My only little wish would be that power lines did obstruct the beautiful view but the overall experience certainly over shadowed that! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway--RENT THIS ONE NOW AND GO!!!--ENJOY!!

I wasn't completely pleased with our stay. The pictures definitely made the cabin look nicer than it was. We found 4 dead bugs on the floor when we got there. The hot tub was right in the view of anyone coming up the road. This bed is very, very firm. When we went to check in, the office staff said they would be with us in a minute while they (at least 4 women) finished their personal conversation. I didn't feel that that was very professional. However, they were very helpful when we called with a question about the alarm.

This trip was last minute and the other company I normally go through was booked so I decided to try something new. When my fiancee and I arrived at the cabin rental office the people inside were very polite and helpful. They told us how to get to several different scenic areas in the park which was very nice. We then went to the cabin and once we arrived we noticed it is immediately off the road. It did not feel very private especially at night. It was obvious the deck has been well worn and needs to be updated. We noticed that it needed a thorough dusting and was smaller than it appeared in the pictures. In the bedroom upstairs we noticed what appeared to be sap coming from the roof down the wall that had not been cleaned for some time. Also the shower head that was attached to a weird long piece of bendable plastic was not clean. When we attempted to use the sauna it would not get hot enough due to the door not staying shut as there was no lock or handle on the door to keep it pulled tight. The morning of checkout we were waken by someone weed eating outside the cabin. Some of the positives include the hot tub on the deck with a nice view, the jacuzzi with a wonderful view, the keyless entry and the bed was pretty comfortable. I would not stay in this cabin again, but maybe with a good cleaning and a few fixes it would be worth what we paid to stay there.

I was happy with how close the cabin is to town but you feel like you are very secluded and it is very quiet but you can be in town in 10 mins. There is a gas station and grocery store so close its great! The cabin is a little dated but is still good. The cleaning people need a few lessons but it wasnt nasty dirty. Just were not very thourough. Dog hair all over the bed covers which tells me they are not cleaned between stays and glass doors were very dirty. The jacuzzi was terrible though. We wouldnt even get in it. Water was yellow and had hair floating in it. Dead bugs laying around inside but hey you are in the woods so bugs happen. Over all though not bad! The staff at the rental place were great! I will rent from them again when I return. Thanks for the memorable experience and they few bad thing didnt even come close to all of the great things about the cabin. It is very cozy and has a nice open layout. Bed was comfortable and so was the furniture. You can only see one other cabin from the porch which is nice.

the view was amazing.. although the driveway was in bad shape there was a very lage bump so everytime we left or came back it would scrape the bottem of the car also did not leave enough towels for four adulte for 7 day stay nor was there enough cleaning supplies.. the cabin was clean and home like feeling..

The location was beautiful! However there were wasps and bee nests all around the cabin especially the front entrance. The hot tub cover was infested with ants nests. Both myself and my boyfriend received multiple bites of some kind while sitting on the couch in the evenings! We are hoping it was fleas and not bedbugs. I spoke with Jeff at the office this morning and am waiting for a call back after the exterminator sees the cabin. My boyfriend said he got some bites after being back home in his apt. He had to bug bomb it. I feel the cabin should have been better cleaned and inspected before it was rented.

I recently stayed in Cloud 9 Cabin Rental in Pigeon Forge, TN. The staff were all really nice and helpful. A couple of things I would like to note are: 1) I was told I was getting the third night free. I guess I did however, I was charged $150.00 per night and when I looked online (after booking) the rate for this time of year was $135. Secondly, I dont feel the house cleaner cleaned very well. There were dishes in the dishwasher, as I emptied the upstairs trash can, I noticed there was actually loose trash left under the trash bag. Overall the cabin was clean, but I felt those shouldnt have been missed. The thing that I was the most disappointed was the hot tub. First off, that is the main reason we go to Smokey Mountains and when we got there it was very dirty, low water, and would not work. It was after hours so I left message and they fixed the next day. It was clean, water added and working when we got back to cabin that evening. It was great after that. One thing I feel would help renters is to leave directions on hot tub and also what temp to leave on when departing from cabin. Overall, our stay was very nice, I just thought Id mention those few things to make customers stays more pleasant. We will definitely be renting from American Mountain Rentals again. First of all, we walked into the cabin and the first thing we noticed was all the animal (dog) hair that was all over the floor. I had to pick up the hair myself and place it in the trash. Next thing we noticed was dead cockroaches along the door to go to the hot tub. I cleaned this up, after so we decided to run a hot bath, it had a cockroach in it. We called American Rentals and they said you are in the woods so this is normal. Really?? I live in the woods and DO NOT have cockroaches, that's gross. I tried to get over that fact but then as we are running the bath the water completely goes off, we have no water in the cabin we call them again. They say we will send a technician out. About 10 mins later we try the water again it starts to run, so we try and call the rental place again they will not pick up. We tried calling 3 or 4 times no answer. We call from my boyfriends phone they immediately pick up. Screening their calls much?! We were only trying to tell them to not send someone out that the water was running and at that time she tells us the well runs dry often because there are other cabins on the mountain. Are you kidding me? Needless to say the cabin could have been nice because the location was nice but it was not clean and the cockroaches are a big turn off. I honestly did not want to bring anything in my home once i got home afraid they had gotten in my things. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. There was a creature on the roof every night from 11:00 until 2:00 in the morning scurrying around which woke us up every night. I would not recommend this cabin to anyone, but with a little work it could be nice. The rental company was not friendly to their customers, they were rude and did not care. Overall I was not satisfied because for the amount you pay to stay there you should expect a nice clean stay. The pictures fool you the porch needs fixing looks like termites have had a field day.

My wife and I loved staying at Cloud 9 for the weekend. Cabin was clean, Hot tub was HOT, and we got lots of snow! Previous comments that I read complained about a lumpy bed, bud we had no issues passing out and sleeping in! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Location is good if you want to do the tourist thing at Pigeon forge. I'd say something like a 5 minute drive. We thought we would pay the town a visit, but ended up never leaving the cabin. The cabin is pretty secluded, but I was hoping for a bit more in "the cut." If I had to complain about anything it would be the little visitor we had scampering around in the roof somewhere. Nothing to worry about though. The wife and I just thought it was funny. Awesome place for a weekend getaway. Will definitely stay at Cloud 9 again!

We had a great time! My only complaint would be that you could tell no one had been to the cabin since it had been cleaned after the last person that stayed there. There were lady bugs and roaches all over the floor which we cleaned up ourselves! Also, we didn't like that you had to take the sheets off the bed yourself and take out your own trash when you checked out. What was the 40 dollar cleaning fee even for?! The staff was great and we had a fun time! Thank you!

The location is excellent! The cabin was wonderful six years ago but the cleanliness has declined. The dishwasher would run but the water was not going through like it was clogged and would not clean the dishes. Please clean thouroughly and the cabin is wonderful. The view from the hot tub is awesome.

We were very impressed with American Mountain Rental's ability to accommodate our very last-minute need for a cabin. The office was easy to find and while the cabin could have been a bit better marked off of the road, we were able to find our cabin and settle in quickly. The decor is a bit outdated and there was a small ladybug problem, but otherwise we loved Cloud 9.

Thanksgiving Retreat

The only issue was that at night we heard the scurrying of what was believed to be mice. We never saw one, this was only at night. We lounged around and hiked in the National Park. The weather was nice enough to enjoy the deck. It was a great get away. The cabin was clean and a beautiful escape.

The cabin was so beautiful. Lady Bugs were a little issue.. They just never went away.. Cleaned and cleaned. A bunch of wasps got in?? but not aggressive. My suggestion would be to have a welcome pack to sell to the renters. I would have loved a basket with a bubble bath, champagne a couple pretty glasses, maybe something with the cabins picture on it, some fresh fruit??? I would have defiantly paid $$$ good money for that pleasure. Just thought that could be something you could offer people to add to the cabin pricing.

This is a beautiful cabin and could not ask for a more relaxed location. Great sun rises from the hot tub and beautiful views of the star filled night. The only down side was the Lady Bugs that swarmed the big front windows on the exceptional high 70's low 80 sunny days that we had for our week in late October. The problem was addressed to our satification and was handled very professionally by Jeff the manager at American Mountain Rentals.

Upon arrival there was no water pressure. By the next day that was taken care of. The fridge thermometer was jacked all the way up and we didnt realize it till all of our groceries were frozen and ruined which is my biggest complaint of all. There were also scorpions alive and dead throughout the cabin.Once we inquired and found out they were not poisonous it wasnt an issue..just freaky.The location was awesome as well as the view. We would definately recommend this cabin but feel the fridge incident was ridiculous and a total waste of our money on our groceries for the week.

American mountain rentals was overly accommodating with a couple of request I had while our stay at "Cloud Nine" and I would use them again to book a cabin, however I would not rent the same cabin. I don't feel I got the quality of cabin overall based on the price I paid. I have rented others that I got more amenities and a much newer cabin for the same rental charge.

Everything was great except we had no TV. The maintence guy came out and did nothing except he told us to wait 30min. and see if the signal came back if not call back. We felt when we called the first time he would know what to do and we shouldn't had to call a second time. He the maintence guy, did nothing to fix it than what we tried, but everything else was good. We would defintely come back and stay again. Beautiful place.

Overall it was very nice, if a bit pricey for what you got. The property's condition showed some wear which was acceptable, but the quality of the furniture was cheap. Mattress was pretty uncomfortable and the TV's are old and small. Watching the football game, you could hardly read the score. Cleanliness was average, not spotless. There were some dead bugs in very obvious places, so the cleaning crew does a very minimal cleaning. Great view though and for two adults, it was a nice get away. Crazy steep road leading to the property, so would not recommend RV's or trailers. The hot tub was nice, but smelled a little skunky.

Our stay in the Smoky Mountains was outstanding. From the National Park, to hiking, to Dollywood, shows, shopping & restaurants it was a great stay. The cabin was fairly clean minus a few bugs, cobwebs and a small mudslide in front of the trash cans. Getting to the cabin up a one lane hill road was a little daunting but the view of the mountains was worth it. The place was clean, comfortable, had great amenities, was conveniently located and really did have an incredible view. The cabin could function as a roomy romantic home for two or a cozy family home for four. This was definitely a great stay and we will be back.

Cloud Nine was a great experience and a very relaxing three days. The hottub is very nice and overlooking the mountains. The cabin has a secluded feel. The TV is old...but why would you watch TV there? We sat in the hottub for hours and had a comfortable sleep in the bed. We woke up looking at the beautiful mountains each morning and cooked breakfast in the functional kitchen. We are talking about going back to Cloud Nine because it was so nice. The only negaitive is the power lines in the field of view...but you will likely forget about the power lines.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but I don't know if we would return to this property. There are a few maintenance things that need to be addressed. The deck is in BAD repair and did not feel safe. Much of the wood is rotting away. Also, the inside of the cabin was generally clean, but could use a deep cleaning to get rid of dust and cobwebs in the beams and walls. The tv was very old and the picture was not clear. Flat screens are so inexpensive these days, why not upgrade? Your guests would appreciate it. Also, the sauna doesn't get hot because the door is warped and won't close completely. Bed and couches were comfortable. We really liked the hot tub and the layout of the cabin. Very nice size kitchen. Overall, it was good and we had a nice, relaxing trip.

I was very disappointed with the cabin cloud nine it seemed much nicer on the computer. What we paid I expected much more. The location was not great as at all.When we sat in the living room all we saw were car headlights shinning through the windows because basically everything faced the road.

If you're looking for a cabin that is simple and very nice, then this one's got it! It was very pleasent and comfortable, but it was a little lacking in having the up-to-date appliances, furniture, and technology. My wife and I would've liked a newer bed, tv, nicer fridge, etc, but all of the necessities such as a big bathtub, warm fireplace, and beautiful mountain views were all very nice. We really did enjoy our stay at Cloud 9!

Outside of the fact pigeon forge is about 80% shops, 10% restaurants, and 10% attractions, the cabin had cob webs above 6 feet off the floor. The drive up the road to the cabin was a single lane very steep, and twisty path. The hot tub wasn't hot, the coffee maker ice maker and fire place didn't work. The sauna, which I was really looking forward to, also didn't work. I spent about 6 hours in total dealing with management or maintenance on this vacation. Needless to say, the wife and I were not impressed. Do not stay here or with this company. Now, the view was impressive, but god shaped the landscape so he gets the credit.

This cabin was better than I anticipated. The views were incredible. The cabin was very nice. Loved the porch and hot tub. The road up to the cabin is pretty steep though. We didn't get any use of the fireplace, as it wouldn't stay lit. That was a bit disappointing, part of the novelty of renting a cabin in the mountains. They did send someone out to try to fix it a few time, we gave up. They gave us a credit for the inconvenience. Very nice folks at American Mountain Rentals. The main bed was okay,sunk in the middle, defiantly could use a new one. The location was great, close to the action but far enough away to have the peace and quiet. We enjoyed seeing the snow, coming from Florida we don't see all. All in all we had a great time and will defiantly rent this or another cabin in the near future. The Smoky Mountains are incredible. So much to see and do!PS. The folks before us left their sweatpants under the bed :/

My husband and i have a vacation every year starting the day after christmas, which happens to be our day that we was married on. We both work for a very big aircraft company that requires alot of overtime so we was really looking forward to this years vacation after christmas with the children and grandchildren... When we pulled up, it was so pretty!!! walking through the door,it was so nice. we loved it. Lots of room and every thing was clean. we unpacked and was ready to lay down and just rest, i have to say i was very displeased with the bed. it sunck down in the middle. it could use a new mattress! and the cover that was on it... well a new one would be alot better also, along with new pillows. The ones that was on the bed where very very worn out!!(flat as a pancake) the coffee maker did not work so my husband had to get dressed and go down the mountain into town to buy one.(we took that home with us) other than that it was very nice!!!!! the veiw was amazing! Very clean! lots of privacy! it was warm and cozy. would love to have went on and booked it for this next one as well, but i will be checking on others and asking if the beds are in good condition. It really does matter when you are ready to rest with out rolling down in the middle of the bed.

Our stay at the cabin was fabulous it had a great view and was a short distance to town, the only problem my wife had was their was some scorpions we seen in the cabin we killed six we called management and they said they spray once a month, I dont know if that is normal are not in the mountains like that, just glad she didn't find one in the bed are we would probably have been moving out,as we were leaving and packing we found roaches in our dirty clothes, other than that we had a great time

It was a wonderful stay. The drive up to the cabin would be a little stressful if a car was coming the other way, being that it only is wide enough for one vehicle. The well water was really the only downside to our stay. It smelled horrible!!! If they got a filter to filter out some of the sulfur it would be wonderful. Overall though, we had a wonderful time:)

There were wasps all around the cabin and several got inside during my stay. When I first arrived there were a lot of dead bugs, including wasps, on the floor near the door to the front deck. I would suggest either spraying outside the cabin or providing some bee spray in the cabin.

I was disappointed that I wasn't informed that the view from the cabin of the smoky mountains was obstructed by power lines. It was frustrating to have to look through power lines to be able to see the amazing mountains. I would have been significantly less upset about it if someone from american mountain rentals had just told me while booking the cabin. Also, there were several large and long cobwebs from the ceiling in the cabin as well as a HUGE spider living above the shower in the downstairs bath. It would also have been beneficial to someone not from anywhere near Pigeon Forge to know that the cabin had sulfur well water which is extremely unpleasant to drink. Again, this would have been easy to tell me during the booking process so that I could have planed ahead regarding purchasing water before I arrived at the cabin. Overall though, I had a relaxing and wonderful time at your cabin. I would definitely recommend your company to someone in the future, although I would make sure that they asked enough questions to get ALL the details (like whether their view was obstructed) before they booked.

The only reason I wouldn't recomend this cabin is because we have had more pleasent stays in other cabins around Pigeon Forge.

If you advertise a fireplace for romance, we should be able to use it, any time of year, not as a heat source, but for the ambiance. We should also, being up in the mtns and nature be able to open windows to get the mtn air and actually save the owner electricity. There were NO SCREENS & the windows were LOCKED! The entire porch area has a Bee & wasp problem.The Living room Furniture was so stained, we had to put blankets on both pcs, just to be able to sit down.Suggestion: Arrival Instructions, once entering the cabin put where the Alarm keypad is located. On departure we know the code, but don't understand how to enter an AWAY/EXIT keypad button.Other than these issues, we had a GREAT VACATION because that's what we wanted and needed and we made it that way.At time of resv. we were told, if we took insurance we would be able to cxnl up to day of travel. We sent an email and then got NO response until we actually called to try to cnxl. We were told it was not allowed to cnxl unless it was an add on. Not fair, hate to be lied to!But now we will know other questions to ask, with yours or another company. All in all our stay was 4.

Pros: nice location, Clean, good size for 2 people, privet, quiet, great view.Cons: The water/drains smelled quite bad when you turned on the tub and sinks. the "hot" tub didn't get very hot and the water and chlorine thing was kinda nasty. I was really looking forward to relaxing in it but, didn't really get to enjoy it. That was quite disappointing. this is a small thing but, it was kinda dark when taking a shower.

We had a few problems but overall had a great stay. The fireplace would not work most of the time and then the pilot light went out. The coffee pot didn't make hot coffee. We noticed the sauna didn't work but that was ok with us. The most distirbing thing was the animals that lived in the ceiling and seemed to be trying to eat through the side of the house the last night we were there. Also seemed to be a loose piece of tin on the roof that kept banging up and down throught the wind storm we had one night.

Great view except for the powerlinesThere were several bugs (not just lady bugs) but roaches, but I can deal with that, it's a cabin in the mtns. But a cabin in the mtns doesn't mean secluded, we were the lowest cabin on the road so there was some traffic going up and down. I guess my biggest problem with the cabin is that the neighbors could look right down into the hot tub. But overall we had a good weekend!

This was my wife and I's second stay at Cloud Nine. Our first stay was five years ago. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin. There was a lot of dust accumulated on the decorations like the artificial plants, the bed coverings, the curtains and even on the cabin walls. It looked like the walls were being cleaned with a dust cloth or paper towels as there were remnants on some of the rough wood surfaces. I think on the rough surfaces, they need to be vacuumed to really get the dust built up off of them and this cabin has a lot of rough wood surfaces.I felt the bed is due for a new matress. I could feel the inner springs through the matress and especially a thinning of the matress on the edges. My wife says the cabin missed its spring cleaning.Installing wifi would be a great addition as well.My wife and I will surely return in 5 years as the scenery there this time of year cannot be beat and the weather is usually just crisp enough, but we hope the owners and the management company take our suggestions to heart and maintain this beautiful cabin so it will continue to be a place we can come to and remember our honeymoon there. Thanks

We had a nice time here. The power lines blocked any chance at a decent view, too bad they couldn't have run them behind the cabin. I think it's just an older cabin which is why it's a little run down. It's pet friendly, and even though we picked up after our dog, it didn't look like anyone else ever had. It was easy enough to find. I probably wouldn't stay at this particular cabin again, but I would definitely use the company again.

When we checked in we noticed that while the cabin was fairly clean the floor was pretty dirty. Throughout our stay insects were everywhere and shortly before we left we found a scorpion in the floor near where my infant was playing. The whole time we could smell a strange decaying type of smell off and on, especially near the sauna. We also had a number of unnerving experiences such as lights turning off and on, being awakened in the middle of the night by strange noises, hearing footsteps on a different floor than us, and seeing things that we can't explain. We ended up leaving at 11:00 Thursday night instead of Friday morning. We constantly felt we were being watched and I have been to many supposedly haunted locations, but I have never encountered a spirit this aggressive. You may not believe me, but we have a long list of things that happened from seeing a person who was transparent to the pull strings on the ceiling fan flying up and banging the lights in the middle of the night.

The cabin was in a wonderful location easy to find and get to. It was quaint and ideal for a couple. My only complaint was the furniture smelled and the sofa sleeper was like sleeping on springs. My granddaughters would of rathered to sleep on the floor then the mattress. The only other thing I might suggest would be washer and dryer. Since linen has to be taken to the rental station for new it would be a lot easier and economical to have one in the cabin. We went to the water park and it was a good thing I had brought our own towels. Other then those two things it was a very nice cabin.

Overall, the property, location and view was nice. However, the kithen had very few dishes, glasses or cooking utensils. The deck really needs work. Boards and nails were sticking up in several places. This is a real safety hazard! The TV's had a pink picture and didn't work well. If the owner would spend a little money on repairs and upgrades, this would be a really nice rental property.

sale. no 2 glasses matched and the pans for cooking were so bad i think they are unsafe. i guess because the price on this unit is on the low end of the scale that is what you get? the lounger in the living room area was very comfortable but the couch very soiled and it sinks to the ground. if the view is what you want stay here otherwise i guess pay more and get nicer inside things. the tv is not directv it is dish network and very limited if you need tv (like MY HUSBAND). that was very disappointing and there is no vcr or dvd player in this unit and your write up says there is. i would never stay at this unit again unless it had some updates.

Overall, this is a lovely little place, good for two people. It was comfortable and nice and quiet for reading on the porch under the roof, out of the sun with a great breeze keeping things cool. The only negatives are the view is obstructed by telephone and electrical wires and the hot tub seats face the house rather than the mountain. Otherwise, very nice place.

There are rodents in the wall by the bed kept me up both nights. The hot tub was filthy with black/green growing stuff and the fireplace only worked about half the time. To get the gas to come on requires hitting the frame at the bottom center. I didn't complain during the stay because a 2 day stay is short and I didn't want repairmen working around us for most of our stay. When I rented this cabin, I asked how old it was and the manager didn't know.

The stay in the cabin was nice. I wasnt to happy about the lady bugs all over the place in the cabin. They were all over the floor, furniture, in the sheets, etc. We called american moutain rentals to tell them about the situitation & to let them know that the shop vac that was in the cabbin wasnt working and they said ''we dont know what to tell you about that.'' The hot tub also was also so loud you couldnt hear eachother talk. The second night we were there the hot tub was so loud we had to have the t.v. really loud to hear it. Then it quit working. Their were people out to look at it twice and it was never fixed so we went two nights without it and they only gave us a $30.00 break.

Lady Bug Invasion Ruins Vaction

On the 5th day of stay, we went out for about 2 hours in the afternoon. When we returned there were lady bugs inside the cabin from the bottom of the glass windows in the den about 3-4 feet deep solid onto the carpet and solid on all glass windows, in ruffles in curtains, in food we had in boxes in the kitchen,in our suitcases, in the bathroom, in the loft solid. They were swarming and my husband vacumned 4hrs and we ate covering our food while we ate. The lady bugs were swarming and flying everywhere in the cabin. They were coming in faster than we could vacumn them up. He emptied the shop vac that was in the den to clean up lady bugs once and filled it up again after vacumning again 2 more hrs and then he said, Get ready we are checking out in the morning. Wed nite, I slept in the recliner with cotton in my ears and kleenex in my nose so the lady bugs would not crawl in them. I covered myself with a sheet and work up to go the bathroom and the sheet was covered with lady bugs. It was an awful experience. We left Thurs morning but had planned to stay until Fri. Wed p.m. was taken up by dealing with swarming lady bugs. My husband checked with neighbors in the cabin higher than ours and they had the same problem and they said others had problems. We had to throw out food we had bought to cook. We were at the office at 9:00a.m.Thursday and talked with Mr. Craig,who was very nice and gave us credit for the unused day and after checking with owners gave additional credit for the day my husband vacumned for 6hrs. This was our lst vacation in 3 yrs and my hubby did not want to spend it vacumning. This ruined our trip. The den furniture needs to be replaced and is so stained we put our sheets and blankets on the couch and recliner before sitting on them. Mr. Craig was very nice and did not act suprised by our experience so I guess it happens a lot. The hot tub was stained and we did not use it. The cabin was very nice, and it was great to sit up out of bed and see such a WONDERFUL view. The only complaint is the hot tub. The location is right on the drive that serves a few other cabins, and visible to one other cabin. Not a big deal to some though probably. I think it'd be ideal to have the hot tub by the front door, and the swing out by the road. Also, the hot tub was not functioning properly, and it was VERY hot when we arrived, and when turned down stopped heating altogether. I mentioned this to them, and they were very receptive and noted that they would have it fixed, so shouldn't be a problem for future stays! But the cabin itself was WONDERFUL.

Frankly, given the pictures we'd seen that led us to select Cloud Nine from a myriad of options, we prepared ourselves for something less than the pictures. However, in this case the pictures only understated Cloud Nine. Cloud Nine was all we had hoped for. A great getaway. Our only hesitation about returning would be the traffic in Pigeon Forge which we tried to avoid, but even in a beautiful mountain chalet atmosphere, we needed to eat.

As a pet cabin, we didnt expect a 5* cabin; however, we did expect a clean shower floor and clean bed linens. The sheets were very clean but the quilt, blankets, pillow cases, etc did not appear clean or were water damaged which gave the appearance they were not. The whole lot needs replaced. The shower floor was dirty and needed cleaned.

The cabin was great, a few things though, There was only one cable box for the cabin down stairs, so if you wanted to change the channel from bed upstairs, you had to get up and do it or angle the remote to reflect off a window or object to change the channel. Also the down stairs bathroom (which most people probably dont use) had a shower with spider webs all over and the shower head was disgusting. The outside motion light wasnt working either, but other than a few petty things the cabin is great and we enjoyed our stay. Great location and would recommend it to any couple. Love the cabin overall.

The cabin itself was fine. The condition of the place is less than I expected; especially for the rate. The deck is literally falling down, rotted wood, railings rotted & detached from supports. The carpet was nasty looking; for a place that pets were not allowed in supposedly, I am very confused why the carpet had so many circular discolored and stained spots not in the normal traffic flow paths. I am sure the stains were from dog puddles. And the couch has seen better days. This cabin is a cute, quiet place to get away for a couple. If the place was brought up to acceptable conditions, i.e. new carpet, clean couch, repaired deck: I would go back. I plan another P.F. trip in February 2009, I will probably pick another location/cabin.

Everything was great. We had a beautiful view. I think that it would be nice to enclose the hot tub from the view of neighbors. It would make it a little more private. We had a great time and enjoyed the cabin a great deal. We would most definately consider staying here again in the future.

Relaxation on Cloud Nine

This cabin was in an excellent location with awesome views. While it is only ten minutes from the ?tourist trap? main strip of Pigeon Forge the mountain seclusion drowned out the lights and sounds of the city. You can truly get away from it all. The gorgeous Smokey Mountain National Park is just a short drive away for even more spectacular views. All and all this is the perfect getaway for anyone, from couples to families. There is plenty to do in town especially in Gatlinburg, just down the road. I definitely recommend checking out the Ripley's Aquarium, but skip the Believe It or Not museum. For some fantastic southern cooking and BBQ you must go to Bennett's in Pigeon Forge. Even though it rained most if the time we were there, the views and serenity made for a fantastic vacation.

We have stayed in many rental cabins in the Townsend-Pigeon Forge-Wares Valley area over the last 10 years. The last time being August of this year (2008).Cloud 9 and American Mountain Rentals has been our poorest rental experience.While Cloud 9 was a nice cabin as far as general Cabin rentals go. There were several things that made our experience unpleasant. The first thing was the Ladybugs. While we realize that Ladybugs are not harmful they are a pest when they are in the Thousands INSIDE the cabin. We didn't rent a vacation Cabin to vacume the floors five or six times a day. Outside is one thing and you could not even set on the deck during the day. But it was almost as bad inside with all the doors and windows closed tight. The cabin windows and doors need to be weather sealed better. Bugs flying into your food is NOT a good thing even if they are Harmless.Second the Cabin was advertised as being Private, which would lead someone to believe that there would be some degree of privacy at this cabin. This was not the case in our experience.Third, the deck railing has not recieved attention to its maintaince is some time. It needs to be replaced as it is too rotten to be safe.The lack of a Washer and dryer was an inconvience.But finally, the American Mountain Staff seemed to be almost unconcerned about their guest. We inquired if the Cabin had a DVD player because the TV programing in most cabins is poor. We were informed that it only had a VHS player. We purchase a DVD player and upon arrival find that the Cabin has a combination VHS and DVD player. Thank you AMR.Finally, White Hall, Arkansas is not next door to the Smokey Mountains and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Your requiring your customers to turn in their keys at Your Convience, (9 am Sunday Morning) you delayed our departure home by 2 1/2 hours forcing us to have to drive directly home instead of enjoying the drive and ma

We found several things in need of attention at the cabin (dead batteries in remotes and clock, squeaking hinges on bathroom doors, hot tub needs repair, no closet, kitchen needed more amenities. Even with these distractions, the view from the deck is beautiful.

Generally the cabin is in good shape, but the carpet has 'pet' stains, the window dressings are very dusty (as well as many other parts of the cabin) and the shower has a thick layer of soap scum. I would not recommend it to anyone with dust alergies. Other than that, the kitchen was clean, had a great view and nice covered porch. Also enjoyed the hot tub on the front deck.

Location was great. Very peaceful and out of the way from traffic. If there is anything that I wasn't satisfied with would be that there were three of us in the cabin. The sofa pulled out as a bed but there were no linens or pillows in the cabinets. Pretty dissapointing. I barely found a blanket in the upstairs dresser. Also, would have loved to use the sauna, but it didn't work. It turned on, but never got hot enough to use.

Overall I very much enjoyed the stay in the cabin and would not hesitate to recommend to others. The only problem we encountered (which was not that big of a deal) was that there was an alarm on the cabin and there were no instructions on how to operate it. We figured out how to shut it off after we found the code on the information sheet provided to us, but we were never able to figure out out to turn it back on when we left. The remotes to the t.v. were also sort of confusing to use (but again this is a somewhat trivial issue). We liked the cabin very much.

I really enjoyed my stay at Cloud Nine! We had problems with the water, but talked to the manager and it was quickly fixed. The only thing I would recommend would be to make the Cloud Nine and other cabins' signs in the area more clearly visable. We had a tuff time reading the ones that had more than one cabin on the sign. Also, there needs to be signs concerning the steep hills and curves--for safety reasons. And finally, there needs to be instructions in teh cabin on how to set the alarm because we had no idea how to set it when we left. Other than that, everything was perfect!!

Location of the cabin was fine, but the road leading to it was very narrow and with the weeds on both side made it not very safe. The cabin needs to be cleaned, very dusty, and the toilets very in need of cleaning as well. The kitchen did not have enough utensils, and the deck is in need of some repair. A muddy garden hose was left on the deck, instead of hiding it. The deck furniture was OK, but an umbrella for the table would have been nice. Would have been nice to know that there were no closets. Overall the cabin was OK, but no excuse for it not to be clean.

I would and already have recommended this stay to anyone. It is a fantastic location with lots to do. Not too close to town and not too far either, just right in my opinion. This is definietly a place we will be returning to in the future. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning again. Just an all around a great place to spend time. I highly recommend Cloud Nine as your next vacation/getaway spot!

The location was great and the layout of the cabin was nice. Our biggest issue was with the cleanliness of the property. The living room furniture (couch and chair) were extremely dirty, we felt it necessary to place a blanket over it in order to sit down. There was dried pasta on a utensil in kitchen making us feel like we needed to wash dishes before using them. The showerhead was corroded with rust/lime (quick fix: vinegar) and the downstairs bathroom smelled like urine. Carpet was extremely stained. Lastly, the surrounding grounds were unkept with litter and trash (i.e. mens underwear, cigarette butts, etc.)

We stayed here on our honeymoon in 1998 and we were so excited to spend our 10 yr anniversary in the same cabin. It is as quaint and romantic as we remembered. The location is great and the amenities are wonderful. The only items that could be improved are the carpet and blinds -it's time for these things to be changed. But the woodwork and fabulous views are amazing. When you wake up, you're looking down over the smoky mountains below! We loved the whirlpool on the deck and the porch swing. You can hear the nearby creek from the swing. It's very peaceful and very romantic.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The only reason we said we would not recommend this property to a friend is because it was very warm due to the sun coming in through the big windows; however, we realize that the windows provide a beautiful view, which is one of the best things about this property! We may not stay at this particular property again, but we definitely would stay at another property with American Mountain Rentals.

The only issue was the sauna room. It was kind of unkept. It had rust in the room on some of drip pans. Other than that, it was GREAT. We would stay here again, and have stayed at other cabins in the general area.

We drove a long way to get to here and when we went to the office to check in they checked us in and i asked where is the key to property? The lady said I didnt need a key and gave me a security code. well we drove to the cabin and lo and behold we needed a key. I called them on my cell phone and they said i needed to drive all the way back to the office to get it!!!!! I asked if someone could drive it out and the beat they could do was have someone meet us a few miles down the road and give us the key.Just waht I wanted to hear after a long drive already. The carpeting looked hundreds of years old as did some of the furniture. The bed was very,very uncomfortable and the blankets were not much better.

I know you can't control morons and their pets but by any chance, could their be a screening process. My dog has not urinated in the house since she was 8 weeks old. To put it in the fewest words, the carpets were disgusting.
