This fairy tale medieval castle, once property of the notorious Borgia family, is exceptionally well situated on the borders of Tuscany and Umbria on the shore of the lake Trasimeno.
Today, after many centuries of history, it appears in its present form, imposing stone facade with one tall tower, Renaissance arches, cross vaulted ceilings, large stone fireplaces, lovely flooring of oak parquet or terracotta. In the last two years the owner renovated some areas inside the castle such as bathrooms and two bedrooms. The castle is situated in a fenced off park of 9 acres, abundant of secular trees, flower beds, and beautiful plants. There is a big swimming pool and a tennis court.
The castle interiors, decorated with splendid frescos, are very tastefully furnished with elegant and valuable pieces of furniture. This exclusive atmosphere represents a unique experience. In the serene countryside, where the stillness is punctuated only by the sounds of wild birds and the cicadas, it is hard to imagine that Hannibal celebrated his great victory over Rome on the shores below.
It is the ideal location for relaxing and visiting the enchanting villages of Umbria: Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Todi, Spoleto and Gubbio. Tuscany is right next door, starting with the village of Cortona, making it ideal for experiencing the wonders of Italian cooking and wines. Italians come to the resort village of Passignano, situated below Il Borgia, for its charming lakefront embarcadero where restaurants line the shore and ferries take visitors to the interesting islands dotting the lake. This provides an ideal location for guests to blend with the locals and enjoy Italy's most charming roots like a native.

Swimming pool: Big swimming pool (13x8 m) with adjacent a toilet, a small bar area and a shower.
Parking: On the grounds.
At guests' disposal: Tennis court, barbecue.

Lodging for guests that are not with you at the castle,is possible in the medieval property Monteluce which can be admired from the terrace of our Castle.

Included in the rental price:
The price of the rental of the Castle includes cleaning daily (6 hours everyday, except of sunday), domestic appliance, maintenance of the garden and the pool, the water, gas, electricity, and weekly change of bed linen and towels. For rentals of minimum 7 nights a welcoming dinner for 14 people will be offered at their arrival.
NOT included in the rental price:
Chef available upon request for dinners-lunch-breakfast at the castle during the week, Euro 300 per meal plus the cost of actual food (the menu can be decided by the renters).
WEDDINGS: in case of weddings the owner required a fixed extra charge of euro 1000 for the welcoming of extra guests.

Check-out: before 10 am
Sundays, holidays, and late night arrivals are usually not possible. Please note: any change in arrival date or time must be approved by the owner.
EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE - The owner or his/her representative have, if necessary, free access to the property for essential maintenance purposes (garden, swimming pool, etc.).

PAYMENTS RENTAL VOUCHER
Once the booking request is received, EASY RESERVE will send the holiday-renters a link to a web page where they can pay the 40% deposit plus the booking fee online with either a Visa or Mastercard. If the holiday-renter prefers to pay the deposit over the phone that is not a problem either. The balance is due 45 days before arrival and can also be paid online or over the phone.
Upon receiving the full balance the holiday-maker will be sent his/her rental voucher. For bookings made less than 45 days prior to the start of the rental period, the holiday-maker must immediately pay the total amount of the rental price.
ALTERATIONS - CANCELLATION CHARGES
For any alteration to the booking, or if the holiday-maker intends to transfer his/her booking to other persons, on condition that the accommodation and the period do not change, the holiday-maker has to pay the amount: of 50 Euros.
EASY RESERVE reserves the right to charge the holiday-maker any additional cost relative to the booking.
Cancellation of a booking, even if it is substituted by another one, the following penalties must be paid:
40% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made from the booking time to 46 days before the start of the rental period,
100% of the total rental price if the cancellation is made from 45 days to the day of arrival or in the case of no show, IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER ADDITIONAL CHARGES SUCH AS THE BOOKING FEE.
