For rent (only long-term but as a second residence, not as a primary home) is a studio apartment at the Chateau de la Trousse, a beautiful 17th century estate with a lovely 1864 chateau, which contains the studio apartment. This rental is a long-term rental for a second home, not a primary residence or a short-stay residence. The renter could use the studio on weekends, vacations. Normally, for short stays, the rent was $900 USD in winter and $1500 USD in summer, so this is a good price for a very wonderful place. I have lost my manager and I can't get there, so I need a long-term vacation renter.
The apartment is full of light, furnished with all you'd need, has a beautiful view over the burbling fountain in front and further over 17th century buildings to the sunrise. There's a bathroom (sink, toilet, shower), a little kitchen along a wall plus a shared kitchen downstairs, and a very high ceiling with plenty of space, shelves, etc. The estate shares a heated pool within ancient walls, tennis court, woods, terraces, 2 ornamental ponds .... it's a wonderful place, silent at night and full of birdsong in the day. 1/2 hour to Paris by car; 1.6 euro bus to CDG and connection to Paris Metro system. Glad to e-mail more information.
I'll be glad to e-mail info about the area and its great, inexpensive restaurants and other resources, and I'll be glad to call you on a landline or US cell phone.
