442 Cinnamon beach Colin G. from Whitby, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Beautiful unit. Fantastic furnishings and overall cleanliness. The only issue with the unit was that I found sugar ants in the bathrooms and in the kitchen. I called the maintenance number and received a call back later that day. Arrangements were to be made to have an exterminator come in but I was never contacted again. The ants were confined to the bathrooms and kitchens but were a nuisance to keep wiping away. The building was very quiet and very well kept including the garage area. The wireless internet and cable worked flawlessly. The location of the building made for a lovely view over the ocean and the golf course. However it was a bit of a walk to the nearest beach access boardwalk unless you wanted to take a rough path that led through the signed "rattlesnake nesting area". Never saw a snake though. It was a 10 minute walk from the unit to the swimming pool/clubhouse. The overall grounds of the complex were very well maintained and very neat and tidy. All of the security staff at the main gate were very helpful, friendly and professional.I found that there are no convenience/grocery stores within walking distance. Everything required a drive. The nearest Publix was a 5 minute drive away and if you wanted anything else it took a drive into Palm Coast proper. This would be about a 10-15 minute drive depending on traffic. Then a $2 return drive over the toll bridge to get back to your building. There are some great restaurants on the A1A highway so you dont have to go into Palm Coast proper. Overall if you are looking for a quiet place to spend your vacation without too much driving around then this is the place for you. The complex is well maintained and the staff are very helpful. Our unit was luxurious, and the nicest I have stayed at in the 6 years I have been travelling to Florida during March break. A very relaxing holiday. We were able to save by not paying to have her put in a kennel. The decor of 442 was very simply done, but we did not lack for anything. Most of the things that I read about in previous reviews had been remedied. We did have to call maintenance due to the cable not being hooked up, and while they arrived promptly and fixed what we reported, they left the door ajar for anyone to walk in. We were at the pool at the time and luckily nothing was taken. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and only left the property when we needed more groceries. Needs more thorough cleaning. A guest from Statesboro, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We had fantastic views, but if you want to go to the beach, get a unit closer to the pools. Long walk; not beach chairs, no beach toys. Very nice condo; kitchen needs more pots/pans and a toaster would be great. Several light bulbs were out throughout the unit and vacuum cleaner was not worth the effort. Would be nice to have a broom in the unit. Rusty furniture still on the balcony but additional furniture is comfortable. When we started packing and taking things to the car Saturday AM, we opened the door (which can be opened by anyone with the code), and the housekeeper was standing outside with her cleaning supplies. It was only 7:30 AM. A little disconcerting. Very nice unit, staff very friendly and helpful, and beautiful location, but we probably would not stay there again. Two of the bedrooms had very uncomfortable beds in which we ran to the local Walmart and got some egg crates and the problem was solved! My main concern however is how often the door code is changed and how many people know of it? We had two different encounters with others opening our door. We did extend our stay which apparently was not communicated with the cleaning crew who opened our door one morning to clean to condo. I would stay here again but would want to be sure that the codes are changed after each guest leaves. Beautiful View A guest from Olean, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 My family and I just enjoyed a week at CB. Unit 442 has a lovely view of the ocean and golf course. The unit was well stocked with towels, linens, and kitchen items. The pool area is top notch. One problem I found had to do with the furniture in the living room. It was very shabby. Also, the furniture on the balcony was lacking. Not only wasn't there enough furniture, the furniture there was in very poor condition. The owner of this unit needs to make some improvements in regard to these furnishings. With that said, we still had a wonderful time and we will be back for a fourth visit. I can't write a decent review in 2000 characters. The location Cinnamon Beach is great. Couldn't ask for better. If you pick a condo in building 500-900 you get to look at the ocean. Nice pools, one loud, one quiet. The equipment in the gym is quite used up. A very family oriented, quiet place. I would go back. As far as unit 442 goes, it needs some TLC. Little things that you would want in your home are not there. Hooks on the bathroom doors are a good example. Where should I hang my robe, clothes etc while I shower? Better cookware. The cookware is quite cheap. Go to Ikea every 12-18 months for gosh sakes and replace it. Bake that into your cost of doing business. The dishes, silverware, and utensils were fine. The dining room chairs were awful and hard to sit on. The couch and love seat were comfy but well worn. The bed in the master was adequate. I think the thing that ticked me off the most was the postage stamp size table on the patio. It had two chairs. That's right two chairs. The unit sleeps 6 easily, it over looks a golf course and ocean, you'd think that people would want to eat outside enjoying the view wouldn't you? The unit was not clean when we got it. Whoever had it before had cats. There was hair everywhere. My wife vacuumed tons of hair up until I told her to call the management. I will say once we called the property manager he was there in 20 minutes and was having someone take care of this and several other misc issues we had within the hour. Kudos to the property manager. One final thing, the doors all have combination locks on them. I don't know how often they are changed. There is no other lock on the door, a lock from the inside only for example. This makes me feel uneasy, especially with my daughter sleeping by the door and me on the other side of the unit. I wish that some type of lock was available that locked from the inside only. More furniture is needed on balcony. Not useable by more than 3! Curtains in both back bedrooms would fall when closing them. They were very difficult to put back. Great location but.......... A guest from Atlanta, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 The unit is lacking in a few areas that I wish we would have known about. There is only a small bistro table with only 2 chairs on the patio. If there's more than 2 of you, you can't have dinner outside (their ad said enjoy dinner on the balcony??). Limited pans, cooking utensils. None of the bedrooms have any art on the walls. It's like I was in college all over again. For such an incredible view and location, I expected a little more. It's a high-end condo with low-end decorating. I guess my expectations were set just a little high based on my prior experiences at Cinnamon Beach condos. Overall this condo was excellent, The location was perfect and the view was outstanding. Was able to view the golf course and Annette M. from Birmingham, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2011 there is no doubt that i would recommend this condo to my friends and hopefully will return myself. While the furnishings were not 5 star, they were very tasteful and comfortable. The condo was very quiet and extremely peaceful. As noted, the views of the ocean and golf course was outstanding. The proximity to Flagler beach and St. Augustine was very convenient. Wish we could have stayed another week. It is probably time to clean the rugs and furniture, since there was a bit of an odor in the den area. We brought our dog, but he does not have an odor, and I noticed the odor when we arrived. Wow A guest from Little Rock, AR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2010 I was so impressed with this condo. I stayed in number 442 for five nights and was sad to leave. Let me just say that the pictures taken for this paticular unit do no justice. It was far more beatutiful than I would have imagined. The only complaint that I had is that it was such a maze to get into the place. So it was not within walking distance of any shops or places to eat. If you want ultimate privacy, these condos are for you. Daytona is not even 30 minutes away if you want to get out. I loved it. I already miss it. This place was absolutely fabulous!!! I would recommend a few things to enclose in the rental packet information that you hand out. You gave really thorough instructions on some things yet there was no map of the property, or surrounding area. The directions to the Publix was vague because the signage is on the back of a stop sign for the street that you had directed us to. A map would be helpful. Also, we wondered around the property just a bit locating things so a hand drawn map is a good idea. Other than that we had a great time with no problems. Loved it! Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The beach was great--we have never seen so many seashells--and the boys loved the huge waves. The condo itself was spacious and beautiful--very comfortable. They were not too bad still for future customers this may be helpful. First day we had trouble with internet connection. it worked fine later. 2. Bridge has a toll of $2 every time you cross. But they offer pass for $20 too. If we knew that before we would have saved around 130$. 3. Water in the kiddy pool was colder and was not warm. But we were there during Xmas so no body was there to help. That was very disappointing. Cinnamon Beach Stay Jennifer M. from Stockbridge, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2009 It is easy to see why the beach is called Cinnnamon Beach with its beautiful spicy color, but beach shoes are required to get across the shells. The condo we stayed in was adequate, nothing fancy. The master bed needs a nicer bedding set. The kitchen had only basic supplies. I could not have cooked meals if I had wanted to. The towel supply was so low that I had to wash towels twice so that my family of four had towels during our four night stay. The biggest disappointment was the distance from the condo to the pools. The condo section of the resort needs a pool of its own. The area is a very quiet area and lovely for a couples' getaway, but families with children will find it too far from everything. We were greeted with two roaches the first night we arrived and had at least 2-3 unexpected roach guests every night of our stay. We actually left for home 1 day earlier due to the roaches.Experienced a very rude security guard that either took his job way too seriously or he enjoyed the power of authority. To hear the roar of the waves and to watch players challenge the 8th hole was a true joy. The location is superb. The amenities were outstanding. Truly one of the best vacations my family and I have had in years. Easy reservation and rental process. Steve and his team went above and beyond the call. The two things that kept the stay from being a true 5 star stay were sparse kitchen utensils and minimal furniture on the balcony. With a view like that, you want to spend more time on the balcony. Other than that, we couldn't have asked for a better stay. We will definitely ask for this unit again when we got to Palm Coast. If you are considering a stay in this area, work with Steve to get this unit. You will not be disappointed.
