Disappointed A guest from Winter Garden, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 I have stayed at 3 other units in this location before and had very good experiences. We chose this unit because it had 3 baths and was an end unit. This trip was just my wife and I but we wanted to check it out before bringing the family on another trip. This is NOT a unit we will go back to.Mattress in master bedroom very lumpy and needs replaced. Unable to get a good night's sleepArm of couch in living room was so worn it had a large whole in it.Outside patio was very dirty. Bugs and spider webs all along the ceiling and walls which ruined the experience of sitting outside and enjoying the ocean. OK except for the roaches A guest from lakeland, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Beautiful condo very close to the beach. The 3BR 3Bth came in handy since there were 3 couples in the family. It was well stocked with what you expect to get you started as well as some beach equipment to use. Decorated very well with quality furniture both inside and out on the balcony. Basically pretty clean but it was apparent that no one had sprayed for bugs for some time and had some "visitors" the first couple of nights. Once we sprayed the sitings curtailed. Bring a can of Raid and spray when you first get there if you would rather not see them. VCR did not work (cd player ok) and living room curtain rod still needed to be repaired in order for the blinds to be fully functional (as mentioned in previous reviews). Other than that....overall a pretty good week. Location is good if you dont mind paying the one way bridge toll and plenty of beach for everyone. St Augustine is only 30 minutes away and always a great place to visit. I would stay here again in the future and will keep it in mind as I search for a location to gather the family again next year. I could have moved right in just as it was (see exceptions below) and been happy for the rest of my life. I'll be staying in this condo again - probably the best reference you can give. We had everything we needed to be happy all week. This was our second visit to these condos - we rented 4 condos and were not disappointed in any of them. We love Cinnamon Beach. Highly recommended - at this time of the year, you have great privacy and the beach was beautiful. Okay, perfect with these minor exceptions: The curtain rod in the living room mentioned by another renter is still not fixed. The bath showers need new heads - they are absolutely pitiful. It would be great if you put in the heads with one hand-held sprinkler - these are low-cost items and in a fabulous condo filled with all high-end furniture, art, accssories, should be no problem for the owner to replace - and I sure hope they are changed when we stay again. Called Mgt & we'd have to wait til Mon. A tech came, but he was from the wrong co. Finally on Tues at 4pm A/C was fixed. Meanwhile the temps were in the 90's and we were miserable. The Qn bed was so worn out. Owners said they'd try to get a new one Mon. Well it was Wed. before one came. Kids slept on couch for 4 days. Not what we expected. It was our 4th yr coming back to Cinnamon Beach. We should receive a refund for everyday we had problems. VacationRental Pros could have done a better job. 1. VRP never repaired the curtain rod.2. The phone to the unit did not work. VRP never corrected this3. VRP changed the combination to our lock & sends us an e-mail one day prior to occupancy while we are traveling. Very frustrating trying to get in at 6pm on a Sat Nite and locating someone to help us.4. Cinnamon Beach should be re-named Dog Beach. Too many barking dogs on the beach & unleashed. Really annoying when sitting on the balcony trying to relax (They were however, on leashes in the parking/walk areas other than the ocean beach). I thought a dog show was being held in the area.5. I did note however, VRP was extremely efficient in collecting our rental payments on time. V. Good but could be Better A guest from Richardson, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2011 We are very experienced traveller as a family and we go on long vacations every year. We always rent vacation homes or condos because it gives us more room to spread out. I believe this property could do a few inexpensive things to improve the guest experience. 1. The bathroom towels were very few and the quailty of most towels were not very good. 2. The kitchen was not supplied very well for cooking. I also think there could have been real glasses (only plastic cups were provided). 3. I believe it would cost $50-$100 to provide beach/pool towels. Also, we requested to have an slightly earlier check in (Noon vs. 3 PM), but were told this was not possible and we would have to pay for a whole extra day and that checking-in early would cause a lot of extra work for maintance to check us in. In reality, the check-in process was very easy - there was no personal contact, just codes to enter. In addition, it was obvious that no one had done a walk through the day of our arrival or even a few days before our arrival. There had been a storm a few days before our arrival and the patio furniture was still in disarray with cushion stuffings coming out, candles turned over on the floor and a dirty ashtray in the corner. So, there was no check-in process with that would have caused extra work. Lastly, there was NO information about the surrounding area provided in the unit. It is common to have a small binder with some info on local restaurants, attractions, etc.For the premium price of renting through VRP I expected more. If I had gone through an individual I would have paid a lot less for the same experience. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings beautiful. The view of the beach and ocean from this corner unit is spectacular. The grandchildren loved the water playground and beach. It was very relaxing spending time on the balcony with its comfortable sofas and lounge chairs. The only issue we had was a realtor opened our front door before I could get to the door. She wanted to show the unit. I was surprised that she had our door code. It made me feel a little unsafe knowing how easily someone could enter our condo. I would like to have had a chain lock on the front door to ensure this didn't happpen.I don't know if this was the fault of the propety management company giving out our code and telling the realtor that it was vacant or the fault of the realty company. Not a bad place to stay A guest from Gainesville, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2010 The painting that was being done made the buidings look less nice and it was noisy with the big cranes. Also, was unhappy that we had to call for our access code the morning of check-in and then got switched to a new unit (though it worked out in our favor, which we appreciate). Lastly, the housekeeper came on the morning of checkout and started cleaning before we left. It was not time yet for checkout. Problems with Stay Joe G. from Cutler Bay, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in July, 2010 Unit could be a lot cleaner. E.g., There was black mold growing in 2 bathrooms which we had to clean ourselves to remove. The security guard was around our units a lot (we had 3 units on the same floor) which made us feel unconfortable as if he was watching us. Plus he was checking the doors to see if they were locked, which I do not beleive is appropriate. We were mistakenly given a visitor pass when we arrived instead of a renter pass and got a ticket for parking in the parking garage. Not sure if this was ever resolved. Finally, on my brother's unit, the maid arrived at 9 am to clean the unit on the departute date and hovered around outside the door for an hour pressing them to leave. Also, uncomfortable. Each building only has one luggage cart which is not enough for an entire building (esp since everyone checks out at the same time)! Overall great place to vacation...Would like to see a price reduction though on the unit! We absolutely love the beach and the condo we rented. We stayed in the same condo both times. We enjoyed spending time at the beach and the pool and having lots of space to ourselves. Everyone around us, including us, were having to drag everything out to the car as someone had the cart in their unit the whole hour from 9-10am. We do have a few complaints. The kitchen supplies are very limited. We stayed in another unit in the complex that was much better equipped. Spices, plastic dishes for the kids, a foreman grill, all small items, but much appreciated in the last stay. Also the last unit we rented had a supply of beach towels. We sure could have used the extra trunk space had we not had to bring them along. The internet service was very difficult to access/slow. A few simple corrections would make this an ultimate unit. Pool guy is just plain mean to people. Very rude and unfriendly. 3. No grills again on site. 4. Biggest complaint is no coolers allowed in pool area. This is not a hotel resort. It is a condo where people like to bring their sandwiches etc to the pool. Loved the property last year. Probably won't come back next year for the above reasons. To many other vacation options out there.
