Swallow's Nest Cottage is a comfortably and cheerily appointed, family-friendly, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom beach house in the town of Seabrook on Washington's coast. We've kept the furnishings and accessories simple, so that even families with small children can enjoy themselves. The house layout can accommodate a family, or a blended group with the privacy of a downstairs suite for parents, grandparents, or guests.

The main floor has a fully-equipped kitchen, dining nook plus barstool seating at the kitchen counter for two more diners, living room, powder room, and mud room. The living room has a gas fireplace, with 42" HD TV, cable, and Blu-ray player.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and front-load washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom has extra-long twin bunk beds, plus toys and books for the kids to enjoy.

The daylight basement is a quiet suite with its own entrance, a media room, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and full bathroom. The media room has a 42" HD TV with cable, Blu-ray player, and Wii Fit. It also has a queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress. There's a pack & play and light baby bedding.

Outside, you'll find a gas grill, picnic table and benches, Adirondack chairs, and bikes for grown-ups and kids.

The house has a wireless broadband network.

Seabrook is burgeoning with growth and the property you are viewing is near an active construction site. The Seabrook Home Owners Association has set strict guidelines for the hours in which construction employees may work. Perfect antidote to the Stress of the City

It took me a few days to really unwind from my busy life in the city, but once I did, I slept like a baby and came home really refreshed. There is a cozy downstairs suite (where I slept) which looks out into the woods. The whole place is well-appointed with super-comfortable furnishings that seem expensive without being so precious that you can't really relax. This particular house is located in one of the more private areas with woods on two sides, and a good distance from the neighbors while still being close to the store and community areas. The beach is astoundingly beautiful, with a charming "elf trail" down to the shore, with whimsical wooden mushrooms and tiny elf vignettes. The community is quiet, and very friendly. I loved the fact that Swallow's Nest Cottage was close to a the swimming center, and lots of the Seabrook walks. We discovered plenty of things to do and discover in the surrounding area (be sure to visit the Olympic National Forest!). Strongly recommend for a group of 4-7!
