This home is a very comfortable place to spend quality time with family and friends at the beach. The home was built in 1998 and has been well-maintained. It's a thoughtfully-designed tri-level, with the garage and laundry room on the ground floor; living room, kitchen, dining/family room, and full bath on the main floor; master bedroom with full bath, along with two other bedrooms and a separate full bath on the top floor. The home sleeps ten comfortably. The pull-out beds in the living and family rooms are high quality. The living room and master bedroom have wonderful ocean views, each with a balcony. There's also a private patio on the sand with tables and a gas BBQ. The kitchen is clean and fully functional, with like-new appliances. There's a piano for the musically-inclined. There's also a ping-pong table in the garage. This vacation rental has plenty of sleeping with 1 king size bed, 1 full, 1 twin, 1 bunk, 1 queen size sofa, and also a king size sofa! Silver Strand Beach is a laid-back beach community where the weather is warm all year long and the sun comes out all year round.

Neighbor to the scenic Channel Islands, Channel Islands Harbor is a working harbor that offers fun-filled water activities for the whole family. Inside the harbor there is nine marinas, unique shopping, great waterfront restaurants and charming local farmers markets. The area is known for great surf, whale watching, windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving, jet skiing, snorkeling, and fishing. There's plenty to see and do in Ventura County for people of all ages.

The Channel Islands are a National Park, located only eleven miles off shore. By boat it only takes 1 hour to take you on an exciting day-long excursion to Anacapa or Santa Cruz island. These islands are home to more than 2,000 plant and animal species - some found nowhere else on Earth such as the Channel Fox. These islands are rich with history and culture. The whole family will be in awe by exploring these wondrous islands. If you can't make it out to the islands head to the Ventura Harbor for the Channel Islands visitors center and put your hands in the touch tank!

The area has great local farmers markets, which are known for running year round, rain or shine! Farmers Markets are held on Thursdays (9am-2pm) at Plaza Park, located at 5th & C Street in Downtown Oxnard next to the movie theater. The other Farmers Market is on Sunday (10am-2pm) in the Channel Islands Harbor, at 3600 S. Harbor Boulevard - adjacent to the Marine Emporium Landing Shopping Center.

Beautiful home, worth it! A guest from Irvine, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 We stayed here for a week during the winter holidays and really enjoyed our time. The home is just big enough to accomodate for a 7-8 person family comfortably (although some may end up on the sleeper sofas).During our stay, the heater was not working and the rental management staff were really helpful. They were prompt, professional and they bought enough space heaters to go around the house when they couldn't get the heater working.The house is in great condition and has a comfortable, homey finish from top to bottom. The view from the family room and master bedroom are phenomenal, just hanging out at home we could enjoy the beauty of the beach. It's also super convenient to take a walk or stroll because the patio door opens to steps that lead right up to the beach. Another plus was that the beach was never very crowded, although I'm not sure if it's because of the winter, holidays or location. None-the-less e hope to come back soon!P.S. Oxnard is well equipped with any stores you might need. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 we rented 5 houses on silverstrand for all of our family and friends coming in for our wedding. we spent 3 days there and it was fantastic. the girls (bridesmaids and wives) stayed in this house and it was exquisite. the master bedroom is amazing. fireplace, sliding door that opens to the beach, huge comfortable bed. it would cost $300 a night in hotel. the house is spacious, open, kitchen is stocked with the basics, ping pong table, boggie boards, wet suits, etc in the garage... the photos don't do the place justice. it is beautiful.after all of the family went home, we have gotten calls from 4 people saying they are considering holding future family vacations at this house. it's a fantastic vacation. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 Four adults and five kids vacationed beautifully in this three-level comfortable home. The kids would get up in the morning and walk straight into the sand and surf. There are plenty of board games, boogie boards and assorted beach toys. The ping pong table in the first floor was key. If you are looking for a large beautiful home where you can sit and relax and hit some waves in the early morning, this is it. The neighbors are very welcoming. Since the kids are small (2 to 8 years) and the wall-to-wall carpet is off-white, we decided to play it safe and have our meals out on the deck furniture out on the sand (with gas bbq), which is where you want to be anyway.
