Perfect accommodation! Leigh F. from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 This lovely 6 bedroom house sleeps 14 quite easily and the bedrooms and the common rooms are huge and comfortable. The bathrooms on the upper floors are not meant for large or tall people as the dormers make it impossible to stand upright. We solved that problem by letting people use the master bath when they wanted to take a shower. The decor, appliances and billiard table are of the highest quality and yet you don't feel like you will damage anything by just living there. The grounds are beautiful and sitting outside at night or around the pool was relaxing and scenic. Lots of bugs but that's nature. We have already reserved the house for next May. |

Beautiful Property with all the amenities but tp! A guest from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 Everyone in the house has been raving about it for the subsequent days. It was a beautiful property, very clean and well cared for, and made me want to come back when the pool's open and the air's a bit warmer. The only criticism that I had was that general household supplies weren't provided for, and we ended up having to buy a lot of extra household items - toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, trash bags -- that i think should be included, or at least available as an add-on when you rent at this price. While the stores are easy to find, we were only there a few days, and it's hard to buy dishwasher detergent for two cycles! That's more of a management critique though... The property was really really gorgeous. And SO fun to discover the secret stairways, and try out the amazing master bath. Highly recommended overall. |

Family Home during wedding Cheryl C. from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 We rented Old Wintersell as a home base for visiting family for our daughter's wedding. It could not have been more perfect. The house itself is your ideal home - House Beautiful. The layout and the decoration is gorgeous. Everything you could want is there and it's spotless. Over the course of a week (between 2 family weddings)some stayed the whole week, others just a couple of nights. So much better than staying in hotels. We could just hang out leisurely and visit over breakfast before checking out local towns. They crabbed from the dock and kayaked and played games on the lawn - not to mention the pool outside and pool table inside. It had something for all age groups. It was a wedding to remember for the whole family. Wonderful. |

First trip to Eastern Shore A guest from Saint Davids, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 Our original reservation was cancelled a few days before our trip, which was very upsetting; however, Old Wintersell was a beautiful property and probably a better location. The house was beautiful and had acres of privacy for walks with our dog. It was our first trip to the Eastern shore but hopefully not our last. |

Labor Day 2012 Amy T. from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 The house was spectacular. It was spotless. It was huge and quiet. The bedrooms were so spaced out that people could sleep until noon if they wanted without being disturbed. We biked into Oxford twice for lunch. We renteled paddle-boards and explored the water. We used the kayaks everyday and the pool. Just amazing!!!! |

Magical stay at Old Wintersell - June 23 - June 30 A guest from Reston, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We had a magical time at Old Wintersell! The house is beautiful and spacious (plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 kids). The pool was great fun for the kids. They loved the swings and running around the huge yard. Everyone enjoyed crabbing and kayaking. The kitchen was well stocked - plenty of storage with two pantries. Grandpa enjoyed the billiards room. The property felt so peaceful and private, but yet close to Easton, St. Michaels, and Oxford,Only a few small quibbles - the microwave is a bit loud and the dishwasher was a tad difficult to close and operate. We could not turn off the heater in the lower bedroom (there appears to be a separate heating control which we could not locate and s separate from the air conditioning thermostat) - note that was not a huge problem as grandpa prefers to sleep in a warm room. |

Old Wintersell Family Vacation Deborah C. from Zionsville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 Our family arrived at Old Wintersell from IN,OK,MS,VA,and IL for our yearly vacation. We enjoyed the pool, kayaking, walking and cooking some great meals. We visited the towns of Easton, St. Michaels and Oxford. The men arranged a fishing charter from Tilghman Island...had a great time but only 1 fish! There was room for everyone to relax and have their space and plenty of room to gather for good times. The billiards room was especially fun in the evening. Everyone said that this was one of the all time favorite vacations!! |

taking a break Manisha S. from Dunn Loring, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2012 We had a great time and had everything we needed. it would have been nice if thre were motion sensor lights on the way to the property as it is difficult to spot it from the road. Also someone sould turn the lights on before the renter reach the place. everything else was great... |

Old Wintersell A guest from Maple Glen, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 The house was gorgeous and great for our family of 10. We cooked each night and found the kitchen to be well-stocked. Pool was great and well-maintained. Furnishings are beautiful. The only issue we had was working the DISH satellite TV. The signal went out each day at some point. Difficult to operate; maybe because we don't have that at home? We had 2 elderly grandparents with us, who wanted nothing other to watch baseball in the evenings, but we couldn't always make it work. A minor thing, I know. We would stay here again for sure - and recommend it to others! |

Corrin D. from Chesapeake Beach, MD recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 I would rent this property again as well as recommend it to a friend. It is a beautiful old house that has been tastefully decorated with an upgraded kitchen and plenty of bedrooms (even though the bedding could be an issue with some adults). The house has 3 stair cases (only 1 goes to the 3rd floor) but we had fun going from room to room using the passageways from the closets to the next room and then going down the little side stairways. The house sits in a perfect spot, you have to drive down a long tree lined driveway with woods or corn crops on either side. We saw 3 wild turkeys in the woods, a bunny and a bunch of little frogs on the property. As far as outdoor activities there is a small zip line, swing, sand box, play ground, swimming pool and a pier with a floating dock over the creek. The house sits in the back of the cove of the creek and it is quiet and peaceful. We loved it! My negative comments are that the house could have been a bit cleaner, there are only 3 tv's in the entire house and they are all connected so what one tv is playing that is what is playing on the other tv's. Also, two of the showers are to small to stand up in. |

Great Stay A guest from Westfield, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 We had a wonderful time at Judiths Gardens. The house was clean and in great shape, especially the pool. The secluded location provided for a relaxing vacation but with Easton only 15 mins away it was a short drive to have lunch out and do shopping. We were worried about the bugs given the wooded surroundings but they didn't bother us during the day. We would definitely return again. |
