The mattress in the master bedroom is terrible, there is no water pressure in the master bath. The shower curtain liner had mildew all over it. All the bathrooms need to have all the old caulk removed and be re-caulked. 9 of us stayed in 903 and 904 and we have discussed that next year we are finding a new place. One issue that needs to be corrected are the door locks. There is only one door in the entire condo that locks. Also, the washer sounds like an airplane taking off--possibly a bearing going out. In addition, the oven takes approximately 20 minutes to pre-heat. Other than these things, though, we really enjoyed our stay. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 ON Thursday evening the fire alarm went off at 12 midnight and the security was called at 12:05 and I gave my name and a call back number to the security. About 15 minutes late security arrived but conducted his own check and decided that the alarm was only on the 10th floor and I had called from the 9th floor as the alarm was sounding on my floor. About 50 minutes after my call the fire department arrived. I was never contacted via my call back number and given an explanation for the false alarm.There are no posted procedures to followed in case the fire alarm goes off. I have stayed in their units many times). The condo was very spacious but a little dated which we expected from the price. I always find they could be a little cleaner,especially the floors. The mattress pads were gross. When I pay $100 for cleaning, I would expect it to be clean. All of the bathrooms needed to be cleaned before we would use them, baseboards filthy, corners of the rooms dirty, stuff left under the furniture... Location is terrific, and I would return, but the cleaning issue needs to be addressed. However, the property does not come furnished with dish detergent, trash bags, full size bath soap, or laundry detergent. The condo and beach area were very family friendly. The appliances were in very good condition and the Bender Staff was great to work with. Negatives- Unit was not as clean as we would have hoped and had expected. The master bedroom had ants in dresser and bed (Bender came and took care of them). Some of the dishes were dirty (that was the responsibility of previous renters). The furnishings were a bit out-dated and the comforter in the master bedroom was worn, faded and stained.We enjoyed our stay and The Palms, we will definitely use Bender again, just maybe another unit.
