Beachside fun with a modern flair, Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort is located 83 miles south of Los Angeles and 35 miles north of San Diego. The resort is also situated right at the base of longest active recreational pier in Southern California and across from the beach. The word active certainly describes all the delightful choices here. The nostalgic feel of Oceanside and idyllic weather draw plenty of surfers and artists. However, this thriving community includes plenty of modern delights, too. Enhance your romantic retreat or family gathering in a place as warm and inviting as the California sun and surf itself. There is also plenty of fun to be had at Oceanside Harbor. Go jogging or skating, or do a little shopping in the waterfront shops. Or if golf is your game, there are 10 courses within 10 miles of the resort. Within a reasonable drive you can visit the wild animals at the San Diego Zoo or SeaWorld in San Diego. There is more family fun to be found at Legoland and the California Surf Museum. Oceansides downtown entertainment district is within walking distance of the resort and offers a variety of quaint shops and restaurants. Plus, the house where the movie Top Gun was filmed is right down the street. The resort is also conveniently located less than two blocks from the train station, offering Amtrak and Coaster service daily. Minimum age required at check-in is 21.
