Another Great Stay Cecil Kennedy from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Stayed for 0 days in July, 2012 Our third visit to Swallow Hollow. If we go to this area again we will surely book another stay. The location is a quiet and comfortable. A short drive to the restaurants and the lake. Had a problem with the Spa Tub in the upstairs bathroom that the service company did not fix but they did fix a water problem in the kitchen sink. Comfortable home with nice ammenities Auutmn Glory Visitors from Sharpsburg, MD, Stayed for 0 days in October, 2011 We stayed at Swallow Hollow for 5 days during autumn Glory 2011. The home is very clean and well maintained. The furnishings and decor are both attractive and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of dishes, glassware and small appliances. The location is convenient to all the autumn Glory activities in Oakland and McHenry and is very near 2 state parks yet it is still very peaceful and quiet. The weather was cold and windy this year but it was nice to come back to the warm cozy house after shopping and siteseeing. The people at Offlake Rentals are great to deal with. We didn't have any issues at all. They were thoughtful enough to have a full bowl of water ready and waiting for my dog when we arrived at the house. There are many dog friendly activities in the area so he had a great time too.		Overall Satisfacation
great getaway! Awesome from Gettysburg, Stayed for 0 days in August, 2011 We took our 3 teenagers and 2 big dogs with us and we had a great time! The only down side was after we arrived we found out we could not take our dogs into Harrington Manor and Swallow Falls parks (they are only 5 min. from house), only Labor Day-Memorial Day are dogs allowed, that was miscommunicated to us. We loved the Hot tub, fully stocked kitchen and cleanliness of the home...very comfy. A pool table would have topped the stay. The home is beautiful, quiet and the dogs also loved it!! A quiet, calming, peaceful get-away. LRM from Pittsburgh, PA, Stayed for 0 days in July, 2011 The cabin is very well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The location is ideal for those who wish to get away and have a quiet time to simply relax. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the outside grill worked flawlessly. The only thing missing was a baking sheet or shallow baking pan that would have been helpful for some of the items we bought along to cook. The staff at OffLake Rentals were very accommodating and efficient. If you like to take short drives, the surrounding countryside along the scenic back roads that run through the state forests of Garrett County provide some awesome mountain vistas and forest views. Lots of deer and other wildlife were seen when we drove around. Having your own rental cabin provides privacy that a motel or hotel cannot; however this comes with a price, that we felt was well worth it.		Overall Satisfacation

Me and my wife have 2 teenage daughters and one 2 year old son and we have been going on skiing trips for several years but usally with 2 to 3 other couples. A perfect escape with our dogs, from roommates and grad school! Grad Students, looking for a get-away from Harrisonburg, Stayed for 0 days in February, 2011 We had an absolutely wonderful vacation! The house was clean and check-in was so nice with the keyless entry! One of your realtors mentioned how the house was set back off the road, perfect for dogs; he was right on with that! Our two dogs had a great vacation too, plenty of chasing the ball in the snow, we went to Swallow Falls Park and they had steak! Swallow Hollow's amenities were a high point of the trip, especially the kitchen! We love to cook, and it was wonderful to have such a clean and updated kitchen. Mornings of french toast and for dinner scallops and stuffed mushrooms...mmm! We also enjoyed the hot tub and surround sound, giving us wonderful privacy and time to relax and just talk. The only issue we had was that the fireplace was not working, but not a deal breaker at all! The surrounding area was wonderful as well, we went to Jg's for lunch and beer one day, we went snow tubing at wisp and had a fantastic lunch at Mt. State Brewing (highly recommend) and a perfect dinner on our last night at the Cornish Manor. Overall we had exactly the vacation we had hoped for (which rarely happens, when all your expectations are met and exceded!) We hope to come back to the area in the summer when the lake is more active. Already in the works is a trip with another couple, and Swallow Hollow will be our first choice, along with Offlake rentals.		Overall Satisfacation

My goal was to have a place on Friday night that the bride and her wedding party could relax, get some rest but still feel special..even regal. This cabin was perfect. It was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. They all enjoyed long baths in the soaking tub as well as drinks by the hot tub. She said it was amazing and since we own property near by and the wedding was there she was able to get ready at Swallow Hollow and not get involved in all the craziness of getting the wedding set up. It was also a great place for the whole wedding party to hang out after the reception and get changed. We have already started recomending it to family and friends who come to Oakland to visit us and we have plans to use it again, possibly next month. The only thing I would add is make sure to pack additional toilet paper, towls, and trash bags for your stay!		Overall Satisfacation
Romantic anniversary Getaway with our Dog Traci from Pittsburgh, PA, Stayed for 0 days in September, 2010 My husband and I were looking for a weekend getaway for our 2nd anniversary and we wanted to be able to take our dog. We decided on Swallow Hallow. It was an amazing, and clean cabin. We loved staying there and were sad when it was time to leave. The hot tub, surround sound throughout the house, and just the whole cabin was amazing. We Cooked dinner on the grill and the odered food in becuase we didin't want to leave the cabin. The location was private yet close enough for restaurants and shopping with a 10 to 15 minute drive. My favorite was sitting on the porch and enjoying the cooler weather. My wife's favorite was the quiet location and the spa tub in the master bath. We are already planning a return visit in 2011. We loved the easy check in process. This was the first time we have ever rented a home for vacation. It most certainly won't be the last. This is much better than a hotel or a resort. Awesome Romantic Weekend Lilsnel from York Springs,PA, Stayed for 0 days in March, 2010 We loved the home very spacious and private we had 3ft of snow on the ground and 50 degree weather. We went on a romantic sleigh ride and then never left the cabin again. I would recommend this place to anyone, we want to bring the kids back for a summer getaway. The main bath is so nicely done with the tile and tub. The kitchen is huge with everything in it you need.We spent alot of time in the hot tub relaxing.The added bonus of the surround sound throughtout the whole house was great. The hot tub was especially nice for the family, particularly for the family members who participated in the Deep Creek Dunk that weekend. Amenities for all ages too, with video games in the loft upstairs. The weekend wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for the folks at Off Lake who worked hard to make sure the house was ready after 2 feet of snow fell the day before in one ot the biggest blizzards in many years! The location is great because you are close to the tourist stuff but far enough away to feel removed. If I had one suggestion it would be to offer (via email)last minute weekend deals at a discounted price. We like the fact that we know EXACTLY what we are getting. The house is has been very clean and comfortable both times we have stayed there. Bob was friendly and very helpful, and despite the cold, the hot tub was very nice. The home in its entirety was warm and welcoming, and close to Swallow Falls and other state parks. It was a little off the beaten path, which is what I like, but still very close to civilization, only minutes from shopping and restaurants. Everything in the house was immaculate, well kept, and well organized. Wy wife and I were married at Swallow Falls and spent our days at Swallow Hollow.
