We met one of the property owners who said some people thought the property needed a pool, but why would you want a pool when you can bob around in the wonderfully relaxing Gulf of Mexico? Updated Condo just a short walk to the beach A guest from Lenexa, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 This unit has an updated kitchen that includes a refrigerator with ice/water dispenser. There is also a washer and dryer. The closet is a nice size. There are 3 TV's and two window AC units. The couch and chair are very comfortable. No need to bring your blower dryer as one is provided. The unit could use a few hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes or shelves to put things on as well as a new tub. Keep in mind this unit is not ocean front, when you look out the window you see another set of condo's. But, on the plus side the beach is really just a few steps away. An honest appraisal of our first visit to Sea Rocket Gary R. from Fennville, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 Before recommending to a friend, I would certainly list the following:I did not pay close attention to details of where keys could be picked up when checking in after hours. The phone process to make reservations left the impression of a large conglomerate office very remote from the units' location. (My companion actually asked if the folks on the phone spoke good English!) A brief note on the reservation confirmation that the "cat mail box" was actually only 2-3 blocks from out unit would have had us sleeping in the unit versus sleeping in our rental car in the parking lot. Another guest got us squared away Sunday morning.Appreciated the policy of not requiring a full inventory of all items in the unit. Have stayed at other rentals/time shares in the area and always dreaded the filling out of the check list on arrival/departure. Sea Rocket appears to have been built in the '50's and the bathtub in unit 0 is original equipment. This should have been replaced several years ago.We had a late flight when we departed. The staff readily allowed us an extra two hours beyond the stated check out time. This was much appreciated when considering the fact the unit was rented "back-to-back." The bathroom plumbing was horrible and the bathtub was horrible. The lampshade in the bedroom always fell off. To have to buy toilet paper and soap was ridiculous. The Far Horizonds had a pool, housekeeping and wonderful rooms for slightly less cost. We will never stay at this Motel again. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2010 We had to use the heater, because, it was very cool weather both nights we were there. When the heater reached 68 degrees, then just the fan blew cold air, and it was impossible to sit in front of it! I would think, it would be much more economical, and much more comfortable, if they had a thermostatical control that also turned the fan off when it shuts off. Also, I think you need to supply an adequate number of washcloths, etc., for the time people stay there.
