The Space

This is a two bedroom suite in a Victorian home that can sleep up to 5 persons. It was built around 1894. It is constantly being upgraded with care not to destroy its original charm. It has original hardwood floors, original moldings around the windows and doors as well as pocket doors. The kitchen is a large 400 square foot space with a warm feel. The bedroom comes with a queen size bed. All rooms have chandelier lighting. There is a working fireplace that currently house am electric fireplace for safety.
The kitchen has recessed lighting as does the bathroom which has currently been remodeled and contains LED recessed lighting. The entire suite is warmed by radiant heat which does not produce dry heat.

Guest should expect enjoyment and relaxation. There is a large flat screen television located in the living room for your enjoyment. Upon your arrival, there will be fresh towels and bath amenities located in the bathroom. The backyard is beautifully manicured and tended to on a consistent basis. For guest on a budget there is a Costco within walking distance of your front door.

The house is located in the Washington Park Historic District of the city of North Plainfield. It is a beautiful area consisting of large homes most of which were built before the 1900's. The area is riddled with mansions and stately homes of the New York City elite of yesteryear. Just a short drive, bike ride, or walk away are the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. These small mountains are called the Watchung Mountains and are great for a day of hiking or camping. Also, just short distances away are the great cities of New York and Philadelphia. Both cities are close enough to allow for a day of fun and enjoyment and still allow for the peace and enjoyment of what our suite offers you.

North Plainfield is serviced by New Jersey Transit which offers buses and trains to cities such as New York City and Philadelphia both of which can be reached in an hour or less via public transportation. There are amusement parks in the area such as Bowcraft which is literally just minutes away or Six Flags Theme Park, which is the largest in the nation in Jackson, NJ. Public transportation provides you with the ability to see the surrounding attractions and local cities such as Jackson, Westfield, Watchung, Warren, Summit, and the historic Plainfield. All of these surrounding cities offer great shopping and eating. Public transportation is moderately priced and affordable. There are also taxis in the area that can transport you anywhere you need to be.

North Plainfield is a well kept secret. It is nestled between great attractions and large metropolitan areas, but offers quiet and serenity not found in major cities. It is the best of both worlds in our opinion. We hope you will come visit us soon.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to the entire apartment. Including the exercise equipment, remodeled bath and kitchen.

Interaction with Guests

We try to give the guests as much privacy as possible. We see the guest when they arrive, give them all the information needed to have a comfortable stay and try to answer whatever questions the guests may have. Then its off to the races. If the guests ever needs anything we are only a phone call away.

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood is filled with historic homes and mansions.

Getting around

The neighborhood is conviently surrounded by public transportation. Buses running into the major cities are a short walk away as are the trains.

House Rules

Help conserve energy, Turn it off when not in use and unplug computer plugs when leaving home

Be considerate of the shower times, as well as bathroom time to 15 minutes if house is full of guests. Leave bathroom door open to let the steam out with mat on the tub.

Please walk softly around the house in the morning because not everyone will be up.

Clean up after your self if you are staying for longer periods of time.

There is no smoking on the premises permitted. If a guest does smoke on the premises all cleaning and repair cost will be the sole responsibility of the guest(s).

We do not condone the use of illegal drugs or the abuse of any alcoholic beverage. Any and all unlawful acts are prohibited anywhere on the property. If this is found to be the case, we will notify the local authorities immediately.

Please refrain from loud music and or yelling at anytime.

No unauthorized guest are allowed without proper written request and notification from the guest and approval of the property manager .

No pets are allowed.

We respect the privacy and comfort of all our guest and ask the same from anyone staying with us.

Any and all damages caused by a guest or guests will be the sole responsibility of said guest(s) and that guest or guests will be held liable for the cost of repairs.

There is a no tolerance policy. We will report any and all issues to Perfect Places and/or the necessary authorities.
