Excursions to Norddeich (3 km) with a sandy beach and a seal breeding station, to the islands of Helgoland, Juist and Norderney or to Emden and Aurich. Highly recommended (especially during winter months): the "Ocean Wave" in Norddeich with its 30 degrees warm seawater wave basin and outdoor pool as well as sauna/solarium area, whirlpool and various restaurants.
