The third story crow's nest with 360 views of the harbor, pier and ocean has 1 bathroom and 1 bedroom with one raised full salilor's bunk, a full futon and a twin. The spacious master bedroom has exceptional ocean views, marble bathroom, walk-in closet, flat screen TV, sitting area and a kitchen area for making coffee as well as an exterior entry with spirla staircase to the front patio.

A great room on the first floor adjoins the sun room, dining and living rooms. The sun room faces the ocean. It has a couch and a coffee table where you can sit and enjoy the view of the beach, Catalina Island and the gorgeous sunsets. The living room has a large couch, arm chair, fireplace and a new flat screen TV. The dining room has a table that seats 8 and to the right is the kitchen. There is an additonal folding table and chairs for 6 in the hall closet for larger parties. The kitchen has stainless steel Viking appliances, European dishwasher, a dual sink and plenty of counter and cabinet space for storing and preparing food. There is also an oversized walk-in pantry for larger groups/storage.

The oceanfront patio has a set of lounge chairs and a covered Cabana, perfect for giving shade on a sunny day. It also has a fire pit and an L-shaped sofa, making it easy for family and friends to all sit together. There is a extra large courtyard in the back of the house (25x28 or 700 sqft) with 2 picnic tables and umbrellas, gas BBQ and an outdoor shower. There is a shared laundry room that is located in the courtyard, just to the left of the garage.

The rental was great, just disappointed in the supplies Katie & Nick G. from Redlands, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 Our family had a great time at the rental. The location was amazing and the house suited our large reunion group! We were just a little disappointed in having to call a few different times to ask for things like trash bags and propane. The unit should have had backup supplies and since the BBQ and Firepit were advertised, they should have checked to make sure there was any propane. Both tanks were empty upon deciding to bbq dinner and enjoy the firepit. We had no trashbags, papertowels or dishsoap beyond what what actually in a can or on the towel roll. Not good for a house that supports 17 guests. Beyond those things, the house itself was fabulous, and we enjoyed every bit of the location!!!! Exceeded Expectations Joan L. from Hermosa Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 Location is definitely exceptional. The previous reviewers complaints about insufficient plates and flatware were apparently fixed, there were plenty for the number of max guests. The patio and fire pit were nice additions. There is a volleyball net nearly in front of the house so bring a ball if you're inclined. Parking sufficient for 5 cars at the house, and public (pay) parking is nearby for overflow. Views are great! Bike path goes all the way to Huntington - or further? We had a great experience and talked about doing it again. Also great prompt communication from Burr White people. Of course the perfect weather was a bonus and put us all in a good mood.... Only downside that comes to mind is the dining table is small for the # of people (we brought a folding table since this was mentioned by a previous reviewer) and there were no extra trash bags or paper towels in the house. But overall it was thumbs-up. Master bedroom awesome, rest just ok Lisa K. from Orinda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 We had 14 members of our family for Thanksgiving, and had to "borrow" extra plates and silverware from Whole Foods for our dinner. Lovely property, but could use some re-supplying of the necessities. Not enough plates, silverware, glasses, etc. for the 16 it is supposed to sleep. Master bedroom was wonderful, but other bedrooms looked a little tired and could use new linens. Location was terrific and would recommend for that alone. Nice firepit on the front patio, good parking. Overall good experience. Rental agents great. Excellent Location! A guest from Newport Coast, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2012 We had a great experience and really enjoyed the location and amenities. Certain parts of the home were not up to standard (dirty pots, broken blinds), but the staff was very helpful in noting my concerns. Also, the listing indicated a greater number of beds/sleeper sofas than were actually present--I would not recommend the property for more than 10. Otherwise, very happy with our stay and will certainly stay with Burr White again. Some Important Points Regarding 1002 E Oceanfront Mike M. from Cheltenhan, Gloutestershire recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We loved this property and had a great holiday but felt that you should note the following points as it was an expensive rental rate and the issues left a sour taste, I think a less laid back group could have made a fuss about the following issues:There is only one of each item of cutlery for 6 people and the property is suitable for at least 10/12 guests. We were six but it mean't washing cutlery by hand every time you wanted a spare item or were having more than one course. We had guests for dinner one night and fed the kids first and then washed everything for the second sitting. Clean tea towels and napkins were not in the house on arrival but we found them wet in the washing machine and dried them ourselves.The BBQ gas was empty on arrival. The BBQ had not been cleaned.The sprinkler is leaking and wets the external day bed. This was reported but not attended to.There was no bottle opener (we purchased one).There were no coat hangers (we purchased them).The property was pretty clean but external areas hadn't been swept, the BBQ was dirty, and there were lots of dead flies on the carper near the windows. The counter panes were also in need of drycleaning in the main bedroom.
