Enjoy this spacious 4 bedroom upper level duplex just 5 houses from the beach! It features a gas fireplace, private laundry room, ocean views from the outdoor patio and recently updated kitchen.

The living room has two black leather couches, coffee table, TV and gas fireplace. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, built in stove top, dishwasher and dual sink. There is a dining room table that seats 6 people.

The master bedroom has a king bed with an adjoining bathroom that has an oversized Jacuzzi tub, new tiled shower and double vanity. The second bedroom has a queen bed, third bedroom has 2 single twins and the fourth bedroom has a twin bunk bed. There is another full bathroom between the second and third bedrooms.

The outdoor patio has a view of the beach and a charcoal BBQ, perfect for cooking for family and friends. There are two parking spots; one in garage and one carport. There is extra storage for bikes, surfboards and other beach gear.

This Unit is Falling Apart!!! A guest from Studio City, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 I have to be honest and say that my family and I have been using Burr White for many, many years now and I've never had as bad of an experience in Newport as I did this past week at 118 42nd Street, Unit B. I strongly feel that this unit is way below acceptable standards. We checked in on a Saturday and the refrigerator/freezer NEVER worked until the following Tuesday morning, three days later! And to me, not having a refrigerator or freezer for three full days is completely unacceptable. On top of the issue with the refrigerator/freezer, both DVD players that were in the unit were broken and did NOT work at all. And the garage door broke on Sunday requiring another trip for someone to come and fix it. The carpets were absolutely filthy in the bedrooms; the mattress in the master bedroom was disgusting; and the lights in the kitchen would go on and off on a daily basis. And to top it off, the person who lived in the unit below complained CONSTANTLY about noise saying that we needed to be more quiet as there was tile floor in our unit. I do not feel that we were very noisy and it made it uncomfortable to always be worrying about what the kids were doing. To me, this unit is just not an acceptable rental.I've been renting places in Newport for many, many years and I accept and acknowledge that these are rental units however, the amount of issues with this unit were beyond acceptable. This unit is falling apart. Yes, it may have granite countertops to make it look upgraded but they are just a band aid for a myriad of other problems.I would not recommend this unit to anyone. We did have to request a new bbque, since the one we had was missing a couple of trays, but they delivered on with 30 minutes of our request. They have always been helpful. This was our 11th year of booking a vacation home through Burr White and we have had only one issue with a home that the owners decided after we booked to give the week we wanted to a family member. We were very disappointed, but Burr White found us a new house with no extra cost to us per their rental agreement. The whole staff I worked with was very accommodating, especially Jane Trahanovsky. Great Location but Property needs general maintenance Cherie S. from Gilbert, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The property was in an awesome location but the house itself needed daily maintenance and some updating (Garage door was broken and had to manually open and shut the door, hall bathroom has mold in it, no batteries in the remote, ant problem in the kitchen). The house was not properly equipped to clean up the sand or just to do some general cleaning (vacuum cleaner didn't work, no mop, broom broken). Also, the cleaning crew didn't leave enough towels for the 8 people staying in the house and it looked like the place was never vacuumed upon arrival. When we did call the property management while on vacation about the vacuum situation we never received a call back. Almost a good place A guest from Camas, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 I think this house could be great. The biggest drawback: the floors were filthy! The carpet in the bedrooms was awful and the tile itself left us feeling very dirty as we walked around. The kitchen was great and the locations to the beach is perfect. The other thing that could use some attention is the grill. There was no place to clean it with such a small balcony. The ash just continually accumulated; consider upgrading to a gas grill. Party Street Olle H. from Karlstad, does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in June, 2012 Very poor standard on the apartment. Broken table on the terrass, broken BBQ, leakage in the sink, missing kitchenware etc. Overall very poor standard with a lot small issues that adds up. Also this is Party street No.1. Garage wasn't working about half the time and we had a problem with bike theft. Unit had ants. Great beach house, but NOT The Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. Drew H. from Salt Lake City, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 You are paying for easy access to an incredible beach. This is always our children's favorite vacation even though the amenities are the least fancy. If you want fancy, stay at the Marriott on PCH, but good luck getting to and from the beach and finding parking. We had to wait 2 days to have the kitchen sink unclogged, but the washer/dryer, TV's and other features worked well. The location is great.
