area surrounding Houstrup is characterised by its location in a scenic area
near the North Sea, Ringkøbing Fjord as well
as the large woods and marsh areas practically just outside your door. The
woods are perfect for hikes with a lot of winding trails in a beautiful, hilly
terrain where you will often meet the animals of the woods. The area
furthermore offers several golf courses and Put and Take lakes, opportunities
for horse back riding and the largest water park in the area. This is an
excellent starting point for excursions to the many attractions on the west
coast of Jutland. Visit the Legoland amusement
park or Givskud Zoo, which has a safari route, where you can bring your own car
and drive through the savannah zones and the lion enclosure. They are both
within ca. 1 hours drive from the house.
