This cute, comfortable little cabin sits up in the trees above the Toccoa River on Moonshine Mountain. There is a view of Hogback Ridge in the distance and you can hear the sounds of the Toccoa River rushing over and around the rocks below you. There is access to the river for anyone wanting to fish. There are multiple decks with which to enjoy the peacefulness of the area including one at roof level where you can still hear the river below you. The main level porch has a wood burning fireplace with rocking chairs to enjoy on those cool evenings. The main level features a comfy living area with satellite TV, DVD player and board games, an open kitchen with plenty of counter space, queen bedroom with an entrance to the side deck, full bath and stackable washer/dryer. The loft level has a generous sized queen bedroom with a half bath and private porch. So bring a good book and come relax and hideaway for a while at Toccoa Mountain Hideaway.

Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 My parents came down from Michigan for my moms birthday and my wife and I surprised them and rented the cabin for all of for the weekend. We arrived Friday afternoon and cooked out on the grill for dinner. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace on the deck. What a wonderful view of the mountains. We really liked the layout of the cabin. We should of listened when they told us to follow the directions on the last few roads leading to cabin(and not our GPS) because we got all turned around, but what a nice surprise when we finally arrived and inside Christmas music was playing a cute Xmas tree in the corner. The cabin was very clean and cute! However, I could not get in touch with manager to check in and out, we had a very hard time finding the cabin because it was not marked from the road, and after riding around for so long we just started guessing and going up driveways. The manager assured me that fishing was just a walk down the road. However, the Taccoa river isn't far down the road, it's all private property, and therefore we weren't able to fish at all. Other than that the view was GREAT! Pretty secluded, there was a cabin next door, but the woods were so thick you couldn't really see it. Overall, very good cabin, except the fishing. This was our families first time to the area and we loved it. The cabin was even better than the pictures on the website. From our self tour in the area, to a day trip to Helen, and a great time horseback riding the experience was terrific. My favorite time was the outdoor fireplace and conversation time with my wife and kids. That is my favorite feature of the cabin. Not to mention the Hot tub at 35 degrees outside. Downtown Mineral Bluff has one stop sign........perfect! Ian S. from Palm Harbor, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Sweet little cabin! Highlights include hummingbirds buzzing all around you while chilling on the deck, cool creepy crawlies in the yard/forest, one night a half dozen or so sugar gliders tripped the sensor light flying around the trees near the house(for like 30 mins!). Also, walking in the Toccoa River right down the street, the 20 min drive north to the Olympic whitewater course(awesome), 10 mins to downtown Blue Ridge(good eats all over), amazing Ingles groceries to cook on the grill!!!!! I could go on and on(I am).... Can't wait to come back and visit! Beware a rocky ascent the last few streets, and a few uninvited arachnids weren't a bother(or dangerous). Fun in the woods! Disappointing to live out of suitcase for over a week. -Loved that there was a w/d and lots of dishes -Many unnecessary nick-knacks when all the extra space needs to be used by groceries purchased. -Loved that there were movies available for the DVD player.
