The guest cottage for Pea Princess is a perfect oasis for a couple or small family. The first floor includes a living room with a sleeper sofa, table for four, laundry room and full-size kitchen. Second floor is why Pea Princess is such a winner. A large master suite not only has a fireplace, but an in-room Jacuzzi! French doors open to a veranda with a lovely view of Lake Kai and all the action of Childers Lane. A short walk to Sandcastle Play ground and the splash pad. Pack up the wagon and head to Lake Michigan and the pool. Pea Princess sleeps four with one queen and a sleeper sofa. Master is roomy enough for a crib if necessary. No smoking, no pets.

Weekend stay A guest from Bloomington, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 Property had cobwebs in bedroom and really needed a good cleaning. Water temp was cold and showers were horrible. We called on our TV in our bedroom not working and the one in the family room did not have sound on a few of the main channels. Bedroom ceiling has missing paint and no covering on the sky light so be ready to wake up early. With cold water temp no way we could use our tub which was a main feature of why we booked this rental. Labor Day Week-end stay in the Pea Princess at Beachwalk Resort A guest from Madison, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 This was our first visit to the Beachwalk Resort. The location to the beach was great - the wagon provided was very helpful. The three negatives of the visit included the nightly celebrations from the wedding party staying in the Queen's Cottage behind the Pea Princess - it would appear there was no enforcement of the quiet rules. The second negative was not having clean sheets on the bed - fortunately there was a clean set of sheets for the livingroom hide-a-bed. Lastly we were surprised that the guests were required to pay an $80 cleaning fee and a $50 booking fee.Despite these concerns we enjoyed the friendly community atmosphere, the variety of home styles at the Beachwalk, the beauty of the beaches, adjoining Washington Park and the sunsets. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 The Pea Princess was not very clean and for the price I would have expected more. The property management company was nice but they did not keep regular hours nor did they answer their phone or return phone calls. It was very frustrating to stay at the Pea Princess. The ice maker was broke, the cable did not work and when they came to repair it they took away the TV which had the DVD player and VCR built into it. Things went from bad to worse. Especially, since we had just picked up several DVDs and found we could not watch them because they took away the DVD player/TV. There were beetles in the towels when we first arrived also. Be careful to check your linens before using them. The nice employee from the rental company gave us some more towels after we told her about this and she also brought us a pillow when we told her they did not have enough pillows.
