The house is spacious, with nice views, in a nice neighbourhood and near to actually everything. The house needs some refurbishing and the cleaning was ok except for the floors and outside patio and arround the pool. However it could not disturb our stay. Management very accesible and friendly. The office answered right away if we made a phonecall and sent personel if it was needed.Dishwasher, AC, washingmachine and tumbledryer worked out well. You could easily waste a day away poolside, while someone cooks the BBQ.The only small complaint I have is that it could have been cleaned better, there was a lot of dust and the floor was pretty filthy in places.The location is only a short drive from South Beach, however if it is a busy week in Miami, you may struggle to get a cab willing to take you there or pick you up. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 My group of 7 went for a long weekend at the end of February to celebrate our 30th birthdays. The house location is great, set away from the loud crowds of South Beach but a convenient taxi ride to anywhere in Miami. The house itself is very large and spacious. It must have been absolutely stunning back in its hey day - it's still quite impressive but unfortunately it's badly in need of a renovation. Generally it's just OLD and a bit run down. The ceiling has cracks (some very large), the furnishings are grungey (sofa definitely shows ample evidence of past guests) and I definitely would not walk around barefoot in this place. We had a number of issues during our stay:1) Fridge was broken. We had to throw out most of the fresh groceries we bought. Vanessa was actually available via phone at 11pm when we arrived to discuss this, but ultimately nothing could be done. They brought us a mini fridge to use the rest of the weekend.2) Washing machine was broken. This was an absolute pain, considering we had a group of 7 and needed to launder bathing suits and linens frequently.3) BBQ grill had no gas even though I had called ahead to make sure it would. Indoor grill was also not in working order, which meant all of our BBQ plans had to be scrapped (not that we had half of our groceries anymore anyway).4) Dishwasher was broken. Hand-washing dishes, utensils, glasses for 7 was a nightmare.We had no issues with bugs except the one roach (but hey, it's Miami) and the pool area was definitely the best perk - it's gorgeous. All in all, the stay was a fun one despite all the issues and honestly, for the price, just for space and the pool alone, the house was worth it. The management company is definitely hard to reach ? it took a week of repeated calling, leaving messages, and emailing before I finally was able to get a response. Great for a large group A guest from Miami, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 We had a large group stay there for a bachelorette party weekend and it was awesome. My only complaint is that it was a little dirty and we spotted a couple of roaches. That said, it is summertime in Miami and the bugs are pretty much everywhere. But there is plenty of space, sleeps 9-10 comfortably, and you can get another five in there with couches and air mattresses. It's fully stocked in terms of pots and pans and cooking/eating utensils. With the summer starting and with the large amount of rain we have had lately, there are indeed more roaches than usual. Basically clean but could use a deep cleaning. Other than the livingroom,only the master bedroom has a working television and we thought each bedroom would and should have one. Our only real issue was that for the first 3 days of our 5 night stay we had no television due to a problem with the cable. This would not have been a major problem except it rained a lot during our stay so we spent more time in the house than we normally would have. Overall it was a nice house and we enjoyed our stay. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2012 The Hacienda is a fabulous large house which would be perfect with some repairs. There are many rooms, a water view, and a beautiful courtyard with a pool. The king bedroom has a large porch attached. The bathroom has been updated but it was impossible to take a shower there because you could either get hot water with no water pressure, or water pressure with no hot water. The front room off of the liviing room had a sofa bed but no mattress. The pool would have been very nice but the water was too cold. Even in Florida pools need heaters in the winter. Because of the trees surrounding the pool, the sun did not warm it sufficiently. If these things were remedied, it would be a perfect vacation place. The bottoms of our feet were black from walking around barefoot, ended up wearing our shoes after the first day.The broiler on the stove appeared broken, or at least I couldn't make it turn on and it could have used slightly nicer kitchen stuff, had pans with no handles etc.Still was a great stay though, loved the patio with the pool and was 3/4 mile to the beach so walkable. We had 7 people staying and we had plenty of room. Very spacious, lots of charm, and with the pool+grill - how can you go wrong? Beds and bathrooms were not an issue and the house is amazing. The location was great and it was so easy to get to South Beach, Miami, and the airport. We really felt like we were living on the beach - it was great. Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. They were available to answer all of our questions both before and during our stay. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2010 I have to say the house is very in a good location around 10 minutes from south beach and 15 minutes from Miami airport. We find the house a little bit old, the furnitures was ok but need some restauration on the house and in the house. In general it's was a beautiful house and the price was very good. Thanks a lot the Barbabra and Vanessa they were very helpful in the process to renting the house.
