MIAMI BEACH COLLINS AVENUE Reviewed by: David T. recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in April, 2012 The apartment was on good terms with an attractive sea view but we had the unpleasant surprise to live with cockroaches. Set apart our friends my cockroaches the building situated in front of the beach and 5 minutes by car of south beach. Nice location, lacking some basics. David L. from Lancaster, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2012 Building is old however the unit has been updated in some areas (floors, kitchen, bathroom). Windows don't work at all. I was disapointed to find no dresser or any cabinet with drawers for clothes. Only option was a dingy closet with a few hangers. Kept the majority of our belongings in the suitcases. The main door needs more "secure" locking. There's a very weak deadbolt. Didn't feel "secure". Listing mentions several amenities that should be explained better: The fitness center is part of the Turkish baths and can only be accessed from 12 noon on. Not convenient for early risers wanting a workout. Mentions an ironing board, we couldn't find it, just an iron. Also mentions an ipod player, again couldn't find it. Could not connect to internet and cell service in the room is very weak. Overall it served our needs but renters need to be aware of what they are truly renting.
