Some things you can't tell in pictures. A guest from Silverdale, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Well, I spent a lot of time looking for a rental on Miami Beach WITH parking and this fit the bill. The view of the sunrise over the ocean was great as well as the sound of the waves. However the major issue we had is that there seems to be mold growing up the wall particularly by the front door. It smelled moldy and I'm extremely allergic to it. There was a wheel missing on the bed and no liner behind the shower curtain. Some of the cabinets were hanging off the hinges when you opened them. Then there's the elevators. They are old, dirty and broken down looking. Sometimes they took a long time to come or stopped on various floors for no reason. One looks like it's being updated, so that's something. The management was very nice to deal with and we didn't see any point in compaining while we were there as it was too late to do anything about it. The lobby must really smell bad to have so much air freshener in the air. The building didn't even have a name on it, but rather a banner for some construction company. The elevators were in very bad shape, with almost none of the buttons lighting up, ripped out floors with exposed screws and a freefall experience every time it arrived at a floor. The unit itself was also pretty dirty. The bed itself seemed clean, but not very sturdy, however, the sheets provided for the sofa couch very disgusting. The blanket seemed more like an oil rug then something one is supposed to sleep under. Felt uncomfortable touching anything there. Seems like the humidity did a number on most surfaces, with peeling paint on the dealings and walls. Disgusting stains on the wall near front door as if the bathroom leaked from above, and the front door itself did not seem secure and was barely holding on to the frame. The standing light in the room should have 5 bulbs in it..had none...our room lighting consisted of a single bed table light, unacceptable. The view was awesome, but that's where it ends. Also valet parking sucks as you have to wait 15 min each time to get your car, and there is no choice as you have to use it. Why should I tip a valet driver if I don't want to use the **** valet but am forced to. Would definatelly not stay at this place again. The management company was pretty good at booking and checkin, just feel sorry for them to be stuck in such a bad building. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2013 The lobby area was beautiful, however our impression quickly changed when getting on the elevators. They reminded us of Disney's tower of terror! They were filthy and has a mind of their own (they were last inspected in 2007). Our room looked much better on line, it was in desperate need of a paint job and needed a good scrubbing! Many of the electrical outlets didn't have covers which seems like a safety hazard to me and there were lamps without bulbs. We also did not trust leaving anything of value in the room since the door knob/lock did not seem overly secure (we has a chair in front of the door at night in the event someone tried to get in). Seems like many short cuts were taken. The only redeeming aspect was the awesome view! Too bad, the place really has potential! Stayed for 6 days in February, 2013 Every morning for 6 days at 8 am, the building maintenance people performed very annoying noises for maintenance, if I had known in advance that the building was in maintenance had not rented there, because it was really hard to sleep. The department was not equipped for dinner or lunch the only features two spoons and a pair of forks. It is very important to invest in blackout curtains because too much light enters the break making it difficult. It was clean and well decorated when we arrived. There were lots of useful stuff provided like bath towels, utensils, crockery, soap, hair dryer, etc. We loved our stay. However we had a leak in our AC unit which maintenance attempted to fix but didn't, we contacted the the manager but never received a call or response back. Our balcony room door wasn't closing but that was fixed by the new morning. The hotel was clearly under construction and I'm sure with improvements it will be much better. When booking we received a little but of a hassle with our room being changed but we had the best view from our balcony. The condo was overall okay. the best is the balcony and the view. But this was partly ruined because of the noise of workers using jack-hammers for the demolition of some terraces from 8 to 5 pm. Then I generally would criticize the overall condition of the building such as floors (look like in a horror film and it smells form the trash chute or from bad smelling cleaners) and elevators (look more than used.) Concerning the appartments: Bed was strongly squealing and the whole condo details (bathroom, furniture) could be nicer. Stayed for 14 days in October, 2011 upon arrival we found the staff very helpful, especially adept at negotiating our geordie accent! our contact,vanessa,was superb, nothing was a prob for her. the condo was clean,plenty of cooking utensils etc. pool was good, location excellent, just 10 mins from main south beach area by bus outside our location running regularly. the beach was quiet, ideal for family holiday.small supermarket late and beach bar,both open late. special thanks to the rep for miami tours in the basement for organising our trips out!! all in all, did exactly what it said on the tin and would defo recommend.thanks guys!!! No water for nearly three days!!!! Reviewed by: Lee M. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2011 We knew there was a problem with the water pipes but for the last two days of the holiday we were unable to flush the toilet have a shower or use the sink. This was unacceptable especially while on holiday and meant we couldnt have a shower before we got to the airport. There was also builsing work going on in the rooms next to our appartment which meant VERY loud drill noises and banging from 10am through till 3/4. overall we where not happy with the stay which was a shame as we stayed last year with no problems at all and had a great holiday and this ruined it this year.
