The Lakeview Luxury Lodge is an extraordinary mountain home with a panoramic view of Lake Tahoe. This house is located near the end of the street, providing privacy and seclusion. The quality construction of this brand new home is evidenced by a grand entry, gable peaks and distinctive combinations of cedar siding, granite wainscoting & log post and beam architecture. Two great trex decks overlook the Lake and include comfortable patio furniture, a gas barbecue and magnificent vistas. This is a large and scenic property with many trees and a slope great for sledding, picnics and family fun. There is a two car garage with easy access across a stone paved driveway.



The well-designed floor plan begins on the top floor with a spacious Great Room open to the kitchen and dining room. The large granite fireplace brings warmth and beauty to this elegant, yet comfortable, family gathering space. The floor is oil rubbed distressed walnut. The mountain-style furniture is nail studded with rich fabrics and the dining set is made from distressed Irish imported pine. There is a large granite top island, with 6 pine swivel chairs, for casual dining and central conversation area. The kitchen is complete with all gourmet appliances and custom knotty alder cabinets; a beautiful place to prepare delicious meals in a friendly, family atmosphere with the Lake as your backdrop. For entertainment, the Great Room has a large LCD and high quality surround sound system with Blue-ray DVD?s and a CD Player.

There is a beautiful master bedroom on the top floor with a great view of the Lake through multiple gable windows. This large room has a king bed, two-way marble fireplace to the master bath, vaulted cedar ceiling, wood floor covered by a southwestern style rug and master closet. The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub where you can relax and enjoy the view of the Lake and the warmth of the marble fireplace. Marble mixed with handmade mountain tiles make up the shower and counter tops; branch and twig mirrors and custom distressed cabinets give this special place an unmistakable mountain feel. The top floor also includes a mud-room for your boots, coats and shoes, as well as one of two laundry rooms.

The floor below also provides wonderful views of the Lake. There is a spacious family room furnished with comfortable couches, a granite fireplace, large LCD, Blue-ray DVD and VCR with a high quality surround sound system. There is a game closet and game tables for family fun. A trex deck is off the family room with seating areas and views of the Lake.

The rest of this floor has 4 large bedrooms with queen beds and adjoining or nearby bathrooms. These rooms are nicely furnished and appointed with spacious closets and nice views, many of the Lake. In addition, there are two adjoining bunk rooms each with two bunk beds. There are drawing doors that separate these rooms, allowing the space to be open or closed to each other. The bunk rooms have adjoining baths and there is another laundry room on this level.

This home is in Meeks Bay within easy walking distance to the Meeks Bay Resort with its beautiful aquamarine water, expansive sandy beach, boat marina and great hiking trail heads. If you enjoy spending time on the Lake, the West Shore is Tahoe's best kept secret ? a wind protected haven when the rest of the lake is blown out and choppy. Wish we could have seen her in all her glory! Loretta W. from Pasadena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010 We loved the house and were very impressed with how well appointed it was. We were disappointed that we had to "camp out" without hot water for showers or dishes with the sink backing up and the back rooms getting cold because of the extended power outage. We were not able to use the TVs, or play music, or have the lights on to hang out together, or make coffee or use the hot tub and had to spend our vacation trying to figure out how to get the fireplaces to light manually and to keep out food from spoiling and the babies from getting cold. The alarm system would also beep throughout the night and announce at 3 am, 4am and 5am that it was no longer getting AC power...Not exactly a match for the high end property we were paying for!
