Manzanita - This newer 4 bedroom, 2 bath Manzanita home, is just 3 houses from the beach with views of both the ocean and Neahkahnie Mountain. It has cedar shingles, lots of windows, and a wonderfully open contemporary design. You could have a number of guests over for a meeting or a meal, with plenty of room to spare.Upstairs you'll find vaulted ceilings and a spacious living/kitchen/dining area which has a comfy sectional, cozy wood stove, and huge kitchen counter with stools for informal meals.One of the two upstairs bedrooms has a king sized bed and the other bedrooms have 2 twin beds.A wrap-around deck on the upper level has a gas barbecue and lots of room for guests. The ocean and a beach perfect for long walks are just steps away.Downstairs you'll find a family room with an extra TV, 2 more bedrooms, another full bath, a handicap shower and a laundry room with heavy duty washer and dryer. One of the downstairs bedrooms has a queen sized bed and the other has a twin/double bunk bed along with another twin bed.TWO CAR LIMIT

We didn't need the whole house, just used the one bedroom, but loved the openness of the living dining kitchen areas. We also appreciated the reasonable price. We will use your service again. Probably request a smaller home but like the area a bit away from town, and close to the park. We have to have pet friendly and wifi; not so much tv but like dvd access. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 We had reserved another house but had to be moved because of construction. We were told house was 3 houses from the beach - it's not. We needed a fenced yard - it has a partial old rotten fence but has sections missing so won't hold a dog. Grass was 4 feet tall in the back yard and in front of the house. Wouldn't recommend this house and certainly wouldn't recommend the rental company. Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are very sorry for the misinformation. Gentle Breeze is about 6-7 houses from the beach. And we apologize about the yard. Usually, our maintenance staff mows the lawns about every other week in the summer. The house is just a block off the beach, which is great, but it is a mile south of downtown Manzanita, which is a minor inconvenience. The house was generally very clean with a couple of minor exceptions, which we noted on the list in the house. Better lighting in the living room for reading would be a definite plus. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2008 This is a nice and roomy place, convenient to the beach (with a decent view) and the park at Nehalem Bay. It's a little way from town, but we preferred that. Aside from a couple of small upkeep items, the house was in great shape, and the kitchen really well stocked. My only complaint was that Sunset Rentals, as helpful as they were, seemed to change the rate policy when we switched to this house from another we had just reserved.
