Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 We have rented this property several times as it is a good value for the space, location and view. There are a few household items that really need to be replaced - the kitchen chairs are in really poor shape. Also, there is nowhere to hang a coat or jacket - it would be great if there could be some hooks bolted into the hallway wall or the kitchen wall near the microwave. Enjoyed the view but house condition is dicey! A guest from Portland, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 The house has a nice view and deck, easy access to the beach, good kitchen space for cooking, can sleep a lot of people (if you don't mind the basement) and if clean, is a pretty a good value, considering it's price, if you are looking for something basic.Unfortunately when we arrived, the house was filthy. The floors were not swept or vacuumed, yet alone mopped. Rugs were dirty, laundry still in washer, dead bat in fireplace, etc. Fortunately, two calls to the Sunset office finally brought out a cleaner who did a good job, but delayed our settling in by a few hour and made it necessary for us to go out for dinner. The property itself was run down, furniture was for the most part was not in very good shape. The biggest problem was the smell inside the home. When we first got there it was unbearable, but after opening the windows it got better over time. We did mention it to the property management company and they said they would get back to us but never did. Beautiful view but lacking in amenities. A guest from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2012 We had a lovely week, but the house needs updating. There are no electrical outlets in either bathroom. The barbeque provided was for camping and way too small. the deck chairs were mostly broken. We traveled from out of state so could not provide our own. The kitchen had lots of pots but few pans and no large bowls to make a salad in. There was one mixing bowl. On the bright side, the view was fantastic from the living room with a great outside deck. Alas, I would prefer a more up to date home for our next visit, the house has potential but needs work, everything is well used. The bed pillows should have been replaced a long time ago. If you want an old time beach house, and can overlook it's shortcomings, you wouldn't mind this house. Relaxing stay at Pacific! A guest from Sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 Was really a great place to stay. Very quiet, close to the beach. Only issue we ran into was that the gutters had not been cleaned in some time. Since it was raining, this created "water torture" type noise. Husband had a ladder cleaned them out. Then we discovered that the drain off the roof made a noise. Needs a rope dropped down it to give the water something to climb down on. No electrical outlets in the bathrooms. But small mirrors and outlets in the bedrooms made up for the lack of them. Great view!!! Would definitely rent the place again. Family stay in June 2012 A guest from Astoria, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 Eight of us in three generations stayed at the house in late June. We have stayed here for years and really enjoy the location and view. There are a few maintenance issues that could be addressed and some of the furniture, especially the kitchen chairs, should be upgraded, but it's still a pleasant place to spend time. The house is for sale, which makes us sad, because we worry that the new owner will take it off the rental market. We have rented this home more or less regularly since the early nineties, and it has been perfect for our group that includes several chemically sensitive individuals. If new owners want to continue renting the home, we hope they will keep chemically sensitive individuals in mind when they do upgrades.
