The beach is 20 feet from the driveway, and you can sit on the front porch and watch all the fun. Or if it is stormy you can sit in the bay window for the same view. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 Coming here while Arkansas was having the most horrible heated summer this was the most awesome place. Everything was awesome from the weather to the most incredible site seeing the ocean right out the front window watching the waves along with the hot tub to relax in (just alittle work on it would be nice)then to lay in the most comfortable beds with pillows made in heaven.Then having the most updated kitchen and being able to wash clothes daily. It was a drizzly weekend, but when we couldn't be outdoors we had plenty of space indoors for myself and my three adult sons to spend some quality time together. The property was conveniently close to the beach with a great view and close to town. It was very well stocked with towels, kitchen utensils, etc. We especially enjoyed the library of National Geographics, and the good television reception so my son could watch the US Open. Our only comment on the cleanliness is that the sheets in the master bedroom had dog hair on them so evidently had not been changed. I found a clean set in the closet and washed up the ones that were on the bed when we arrived. Also, several spots on the carpet in the master bedroom. Overall, we would give this property and our experience an excellent rating and would recommend the upper unit for a comfortable stay. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 Perfect location and size, lovely to have a fireplace, fantasic view and direct beach access with a sunny deck facing the ocean. It couldn't have been better.Very well equipped spacious kitchen. Problems with the hot tub not working on arrival left us without it for 1 day of a 2 day stay, very disappointing. I had to work out how to get it working again myself as there weren't any instructions,the agency didn't know when I called and were unable to get the engineer to call until the next day. The furniture is very worn and not very clean with some broken covers as was some of the bedding. The main bedroom bed frame is extremely noisy and needs immediate replacing. Had there been more than 2 of us staying it would have been a problem to use it, we switched rooms.I really enjoyed my stay despite these issues but feel the steeper price doesn't reflect the quality of the property, but the location is priceless! I would definitely recommend staying here with reservations pending the repair work, maintenance and updating needed. The main issue was that the hot tub would only get up to 100 degrees when the cover was on it. As soon as the cover was removed, and two to four people got in, the temperature would rapidly drop and keep dropping (94 degrees and below) to the point that we would all just have to get out. We were really hoping to get to spend more time in the hot tub during our stay. That was one of the main selling points of the house for us. Also, the bed frame in the back bedroom is loose and creaks and pops and makes A LOT of noise whenever a person makes the slightest movement on the bed. Otherwise, the stay was enjoyable. All reviews I read befor hand were right on. Unfortunatly the complaints on the beds being uncomfortable were also true. Your shoulders and head feel like they are lower than your body. after a couple restless nights I figured out that additional pillows helped but for the minimal price of a matress the owner should replace them. On a positive note the house is much roomier than the pictures depict. The deck out front is also very large. Amnities such as knives, small appliances were in excess of what I have expereineced in a beech house and high quality. Will definiatly consider for the next trip. I read many of other guest comments that were very helpful. We brought coffee, food, foil, saran, extra lg garbage bags, and don't forget the doggy towel...making it all very comfortable and not having to run out to the store all the time.
