This beautifully designed home (by one of Northern California's most renown architects) features beautifully finished wood floors, cabinets, interior doors, and window sills. The ceiling has high open beams with perfectly placed skylights. Lovely blue water views across open space meadows are available from the kitchen, back deck (off a lovely garden), living area and master bedroom. There is another interior garden which is accessible from the master bedroom bathroom and the 2nd guest bedroom. The hot tub is located within the interior garden area. The master bath has a large open tiled shower complete with dual shower heads. The kitchen has all of the necessary amenities and much more, including double ovens and a professional cooking stove. The kitchen has about every pot, pan or utensil you need to cook or bake anything! We like to eat at home most of the time, so that was very helpful. Wonderful Honeymoon at Cypress House at Irish Beach Maria W. from Comptche, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 My new husband and I were very pleased with how well-equiped and well-designed the house was, down to the gourmet waffle-maker! What a great selection of movies, too. We greatly enjoyed the hot-tub, walk-in shower, beautiful gardens and abundant bird life. The couch definitely needs replacing- it is so shabby it looked out-of-place. The tile in the bathroom needs some kind of slip-proof treatment. I actually slipped and fell on the wet tile our last day there. Fortunately, no serious injury, but for an older person, it could have been. We hope to come back on our anniversary next year. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home. The house is well furnished and offers beautiful flooring and rugs. The owners have selected furniture and decorative pieces that make this house special. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. There was an ample supply of wood to build a fire during our stay because it rained most of the time. Our spirits weren't dampened when we saw some deer enjoying the meadow outside our windows. Because it was Christmas, the house was decorated with lights which made it very festive. The only improvement necessary would be a corner shelf in the master bathroom to put the soap when showering. Also, it could be slippery without a mat. We look forward to another time inthis beautiful house with its unique features and comfort. Garden, feeding many birds, watching deer, ocean from a distance, lavender, design, access to outdoors from all rooms, beds (great mattresses - would like to find out what they are and get some for our house.) Curtain/drape in second bedroom needs repair (same as last year). Can't open in to see garden in daytime. Also couch in living room has tears. We saw the insde of several others, and it was by far the most gorgeous property. The bed in the master was like floating on a cloud. Many wonderful things about the property. However, it has ants. There are ant traps in the house, but there are still ants. Some here and there, not a huge amount. But enough here and there, to crawl on your foot, on the table, in the loft. Even saw one in the bed. Didn't get bitten, but the ants did detract from our experience. My reading the guest book, we are not the only ones this has happened to. I think they need an exterminator. Again, a truly beautiful home, many wonderful things about it...and unfortunately some ants.
