You couldn’t ask for a more central location than this beautiful apartment, located just one block away from both Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. Spacious (75 sq. meters) and extremely bright, with windows on both sides, three skylights and large glass doors that lead to a wonderful terrace - perfect for a romantic meal, relaxing and watching the life of the city unfold in the plaza and streets below. The walk up to this 5th floor pad (no elevator) will reward you with nice views of the city and a relaxing time on the terrace. The most emblematic buildings of Madrid are just steps away, and a short walk will take you to all of the sights (Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Espana, Cibeles, El Prado, el Retiro, el Rastro, etc). The best shopping areas are a few blocks away (Gran Via, Chueca, Malasana, El Rastro), as well as the trendiest restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The apartment is well communicated, with a handful of subway stops close by (Gran Via, Sol, Callao, Sevilla). High-speed trains for day trips to surrounding areas are just one block away under the plaza at Puerta del Sol.

Located in an historic building, the apartment itself has been recently renovated in keeping with its original charm. Though it is literally in the very center of the city, you will find that the apartment is a quiet retreat, as it is on the top floor of the building, there is only one apartment per floor, and the surrounding streets are limited to pedestrian traffic (taxis allowed). Hand-cut wooden beams give the apartment unique character. It is comfortably furnished, with a queen-size bed in the bedroom and a full size sofa bed in the living room. A fold-out bed is available for a 5th guest. The kitchen is fully-equipped (range, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, plates, etc.). You will also have the benefit of cable television, DVD player, stereo and wireless internet access, and the luxury of a gas grill on the terrace. Linens and towels are provided, as well as maps and recommendations for restaurants, tapas, markets, etc.

Security deposit required, amount depends on length of stay but minimum is 150 euros. Deposit is in cash on arrival and is refunded after an inspection of the apartment at departure. All inquiries are welcome; English, Spanish, Slovene, German and a bit of French are spoken. Please note that 2 night stays are possible only during the months of August, January and February - at other times a 3 night minimum applies.

Check-in and out times are flexible so long as another guest is not ending or beginning their stay on the same days.

Flat rate is for up to 2 guests. An additional 15 euro per night per additional guest charge applies. Fold out bed is available for a 5th guest. An additional 5 euro per night charge applies if air conditioning is desired. Holiday rates apply to all holiday periods, not just Christmas and New Years.

Security deposit depends on length of stay and number of people, but minimum is 150 euros. Deposit serves the dual purpose of reserving the apartment for the requested dates, and acting as security against any damage that might be caused to the apartment or furnishings during the stay. It is refunded at the time of departure, so long as the apartment is left in the same condition it was found.
