Beautifully decorated 3 bed home in a highly desirable area. Walk to Holland Park, Notting Hill and High St Kensington. Quick and easy access to Oxford Street and Leicester Square.

Beautiful apartment with landscaped garden set over 2 floors of a Victorian townhouse in the Borough of Kensington, near Holland Park and High Street Kensington and a short walk to Notting Hill.

Guests have use of 2 bicycles and are also just a 10 minute walk to Westfield Shopping Centre and a short bus or tube ride from most of London's top attractions. The property offers excellent privacy and is very quiet.

There are three spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with steam room), comfortable living area, modern open plan kitchen/dining area and a glorious private garden. While the home has been fully modernised, many of the property's Victorian features remain with high ceilings, wooden floors, sash windows and a feature fireplace in the front sitting room.

A few stairs lead up to the front door of the property and, once through the entry hall, there's another door to take you into the apartment. A stylish sitting room sits at the front of the house. There is a feature fireplace (with a working gas fire), designer sofa, armchair, flat screen television (with Netflix movie subscription and High Definition), antique mirror and a glass-topped coffee table. With a big bay window, the room is very bright and a great spot for relaxing after a day's sightseeing.

At the back of the house is the master bedroom (with king-sized bed), bedside tables and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is beside the master bedroom and there are interconnecting doors between these 2 rooms (handy for parents if they want to keep any eye on young children).
This second bedroom is perfect for a child and a cot can be brought in, upon request. It has a trundle bed and this can be pulled out and set up as a double for 2 adult guests. Both rooms have large amounts of storage space for guests.

Downstairs, on the lower ground floor, is the third bedroom with 2 single beds and a flat-screen television mounted on the wall, a full length mirror and a fitted wardrobe. Rather impressively there is an en suite steam room, or you could simply just use it as a very large shower! There is a separate toilet here as well.

The utility room with a large sink, washer and dryer will come in handy for longer stays. At the back of the property is the open plan kitchen/dining room which is very modern and spacious. The kitchen has everything you would expect from a bespoke, high specification kitchen, including a gas hob and large American-style fridge/freezer. There is an island with stools for less formal meals. With another wall mounted flat-screen television and a sofa, family members can relax while cooking or enjoying their meals. There's a stylish wooden dining table and funky, colourful chairs. (The sofa in this room pulls out into a double bed to provide sleeping for a further two guests, upon request).

Large glass doors open out from the kitchen to the private garden. There is a well-finished patio area with a garden table and chairs - perfect for alfresco dining during the summer months - and there are gas heaters for when the weather is cooler. The garden also benefits from a Jamie Oliver BBQ. Beyond the patio is an immaculate lawn bordered on three sides by a bricked wall, with outdoor lighting for night-time.

The property has Virgin Media's fibre optic 30 megabit speed, so very fast! There are 3 High Definition televisions in the property all with Freeview (Sky, CNN, Al Jazeera stations, etc).

The property can sleep up to 6 with the beds shown, and a total of 8 guests with use of the sofa bed (in the informal living area downstairs).

Located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea it is classified as a ‘conservation area'. With many of its homes dating from the 19th century or earlier, it is an intimate and friendly area there are neighbourhood restaurants, pubs, cafes and delis all within a 5 minute walk. For shopping on a grand scale, the huge Westfield Shopping Mall is also just a 10 minute walk. One of Europe's biggest shopping experiences, you'll find a world ranking collection of designer shops, more than 40 restaurants (including a food hall) and several cinemas.

High Street Kensington, with its boutiques, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets (including a brilliant Wholefoods) and another cinema is just a 10 minute walk to the east. Holland Park with its green open space is also a 10 minute walk and you can reach the edge of Notting Hill within around 10 minutes too, and walk on further to the famous Portobello Road.

Try a walk along the north bank of the River Thames, where the annual Oxford v Cambridge boat race is rowed and you'll find many of London's famous pubs. The Apollo Theatre Hammersmith, is famous for pop concerts and comedy shows with many 'big name' acts. Or, for something unusual, go to Shepherds Bush Market to see a demonstration of London's ethnic diversity, with stall holders, vegetables and provisions from all corners of the world.

Business travellers may be attending exhibitions at the Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre (3 min walk) or Earl's Court Exhibition Centre (10 min walk).

Shepherd's Bush (Central line and Overground) is about a 7 minute walk and Shepherd's Bush Market station (Hammersmith & City lines) is just over a 10 minute walk. For access to Oxford Street, take the tube from Shepherd's Bush and you'll be there in 16 minutes on the Central line. These transport links are excellent and mean a door-to-door trip to Bond Street/Oxford Street takes just 20-25 minutes.
You are also about a 3 minute walk to Kensington Olympia Station (on the District and Overground lines).
