Then N85 Ennis - Lahinch. Cliffs of Moher 3 km. Aran Islands Ferry 10 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Shannon (SNN) 58 km. The remains of a castle built by the O'Connors can be found in the village and Liscannor is also the birthplace of John Holland, the inventor of the submarine. Local activities include fishing, golf, horseriding, snorkelling and diving in Kilkee.
